Perhaps an odd question! As well as thyroid disease I have a long history of Chronic UTI and high alkaline urine. I suspect a link! The C-uti has been treated, with minimal success , with various prophylactic and treatment doses of antibiotics. It flares up frequently. Previously I've tried

Uti/thrush
I'm not sure what to do...I've been suffering from what I think is thrush since taking antibiotics for suspected strep throat 3 weeks ago. Tried pessary x 2 but its still there. Now it feels like a uti has started and gp had given me more antibiotics but if I taje them it will make the thrush so much

Medication Management
Hi folks, Really interested in opinions here - especially from the more experienced and time-served 'warriors'. Diagnosed 2 years ago after about 18 months of tests to establish why I had been experiencing arm stiffness, loss of some finger dexterity and foot/toe curling - all on my right hand side.

Any suggestions for managing this kind of dyskinesia?
I have recently started to experience a twitchy left leg which my neurologist says is dyskinesia. It happens about an hour after I’ve taken Madopar. I tried taking one 100/25 tablet in the morning and another about 8pm. This seemed to work but at my last visit I was told that I would be much better taking

Hypothyroidism, chronic cystitis and histamine intolerance
Can anyone recommend good sources of information on the connection between hypothyroidism, recurrent cystitis and histamine/oxalate intolerance or possibly MCAS? I have had recurrent cystitis for many years, but in the past 2 years, it has become unbearable and I can be on antibiotics for weeks on end

Treating PD with levodopa combined with tetracycline (Effects of levodopa on gut bacterial antibiotic resistance in Parkinson’s disease rat)
The combination of levodopa and antibiotics, such as tetracycline and vancomycin, in the treatment of PD may decrease the amount of corresponding antibiotic resistance genes in gut bacteria, which would give a theoretical basis for treating PD with levodopa combined with tetracycline and vancomycin in

Requested help for further training of neurologist
My introduction to the new neurologist was rather disappointing. Apart from the fact that he did not even make any attempt to come across as somewhat understanding and social, this person again lacked constructive thinking about possible improvements to the PD and PN (peripheral neuropathy) situation
