My oncologist told me oral faslodex is in clinical trial and right around the corner to be approved. That would be a great thing!! Let’s hope it’s soon.

RLS and CLL
In my earlier post, I asked for advice about coming off Mirapex, a drug prescribed for Restless Leg Syndrome. I am currently in a clinical trial for CLL, taking Ibrutinib and Obinutuzumab, and I am wondering if anyone else in this community shares my situation dealing with RLS (an incurable syndrome

Please help CLL Society learn more about what you know and/ or yearn to know more about CAR-T therapy.
Please take our CLL Society's CAR-T Survey! At ASH 2020 we learned that CAR-T cells may soon have an important place in treating CLL. Patients currently receiving CAR-T cells in clinical trials are experiencing fewer toxicities and many are having durable responses. As CLL Society continues to plan educational

PTG-300 Clinical Trial Status
Unfortunately I did not meet parameters for the PTG-300 clinical trial for PV treatment. You have to have had a minimum of 3 phlebotomies in 28 weeks. While my past history included phlebotomies every three weeks even when on hydroxyurea, my recent history is no phlebotomy for 14 months, then two in

Prof Dr Pete Hillmen retires
Prof Dr Pete Hillmen retired from his (current) role at Leeds hospital at the end of January, after changing the world of PNH & CLL for so many patients. Many of us have to thank him for our treatment in FLAIR and many other CLL clinical trials over the years. He will be continuing his clinical research

CfDNA in urine for cancer detection and a miniature device as sensitive as a dog's nose for cancer detection-possibly put into cell phone ?
Greetings FPC Warriors, Cancer detection becomes better and better with earlier detection comes faster treatment and better results... The reliance on PSA testing for detection is becoming outdated as these 2 methods above will discuss. First, a Cell free DNA test for urine that can detect cancers.

A quick background review … Started out as 'I can't pee ! - a TOTAL urinary blockage. Dateline March break- 2017. Spent 4 months in and out of emergency wards with out of control UTI's, a catheter for 4 months (which I was taking care of with NO CLUE as to how to manage it) and no urologist or

Fasting and Chemo
Just read this on one of my favorite websites - https://examine.com/ Study: Fasting for cancer Fasting — so hot right now. But slow your roll for just a second … fasting isn’t a panacea, no matter how appealing its simplicity seems. In the case of fasting for cancer, the evidence is promising, but

70th Birthday
My father has turned 70 today! He's been battling stage 4 prostate cancer with very advanced bone mets for the past 4 years. At his age with his condition he is so thankful to be alive. Reading these forums sometimes I do get confused what is considered advanced prostate cancer or perhaps people priorities
