Four weeks after starting the ARV/110 clinical trial, my brother‘s PSA dropped from 15 to 1.7. It was wonderful news and the doctor was very happy. Unfortunately, that did not last. The next four PSA tests showed it going up each time to 6.1. The scans showed progression. He Stopped the trial two weeks ago. We thought for sure after such a wonderful start and the correct mutation that had showed good response, he would have done well. So disappointing. His doctor at Dana-Farber has recommended the PT 112 clinical trial that will start by the first week in April. In the meantime, he is doing nothing which is a bit scary. I really think chemo would be the best way to go at this point however when starting a trial many times they want you free from other medications etc. Plus, he would probably only get one round in before the trial started. I believe PT 112 is a form of chemotherapy. I have not researched it enough, but am planning to. So that is where we stand. I know there are others on here who are also doing ARV 110. I wish you the best.
