There have been a few stem cell posts recently. We could do with someone like Simon at science of Parkinsons, tieing it all together and summarising the state of play. The most promising trial i am aware of at present is the Kyoto human clinical trial which also carried out trials on monkeys as part of its preclinical research

I wish more information was known regarding the results for the first patient, but I suppose they won't report many results until the end of the 2 years after the last of the seven patients has been treated.

I think you're right. Frustrating the (lack of) pace of progress. But good news that things are happening which get us closer to fixing this condition
