Ongoing fatigue following thyroidectomy due to cancer
In 2019 I had a full thyroidectomy and RAI treatment due to cancer. Since then I have had problems with fatigue, which I understand is not unusual after this type of treatment. I was given125mcg Levothyroxine initially but this caused near hyperthyroidism, I am at present on 100mcg but find I am still

Advice please re removal of mercury fillings and detoxing
I had most of my amalgam fillings removed about 20 years ago to try to help relieve migraines, but for some reason there are a couple left. I had a blood test for heavy metals and mercury was found, so I have been advised to have the remaining amalgam removed biologically to try to lessen hypo symptoms

T3 only - Thyroid less.
Hi my thyroid was removed approximately 6 years ago thyroid cancer. Radioactive iodine followed straight after in a cell for 3 - 4 days and lucky I appear to be free of cancer. I have a resistance to T4 so have only ever taken T3 120 ug spread over the day. My problem is the feeling of total exhaustion

Just received the full copy of my blood test where I can see my TSI
My TSI is 1.20 (0.00 - 2.00) Does it mean that I ddi not have Graves and RAI is not right treatment for me? Thank you very much for your opinions.

Armour or the single pill - hair loss
Hi Has anyone got Hashimotos and tried Armour or been on the progesterone only pill? As about three months ago I went from NP to Armour NDT as my TSH was nearly 4.5 taking 1.5 grains of NP (I have always taken 1.5 of WP and done ok on this) But then at the same time I also changed from the depo injection

Potassium!
Has anyone else tried supplementing potassium to ease arrythmias? I've had a surprising result. Sorry for long post. Magnesium is the oft talked about one for AF or ectopics, and I added magnesium quite a while back, with a marginal though noticeable effect on damping ectopics. I recently checked

Doctor says its dangerous to take carbimazol for long time and advise RAI considering its less harmful...
I just saw today my doctor and asked her why I can not continue my treatment with carbimazol(I feel good but just have big goiter) She insisted that taking carbimazol for life is not posible, that I will have the complications with heart because of it. Is it true? (I was taking 5mg ,now she wants

Is it common to get chest pains with thyroid problems?
I saw a post today from someone who was having chest pain with their thyroid problem and was wondering if my pain could indicate I have the same. I have been in A&E today for the second time in 10 days with ongoing short, sharp pain on the left hand side of my chest with palpitations. Last week they

Iodine as a potential endocrine disruptor-a role of oxidative stress
Am somewhat surprised by this substantial paper on iodine - deficiency and excess are both addressed. As well as protection from radioactive iodine. They claim: [i]Universal awareness that iodine is a potential EDC would make consumers more careful regarding their diet and what they supplement in tablets

Graves' Ophthalmopathy in the Setting of Primary Hypothyroidism

Hyperthyroid and TED - Is Thyroidectomy the only answer?
Hi All, I am in US and I was diagnosed with Graves back in Dec of 2017. I have been on Methimazole since then and my dose needs to be adjusted regularly as my thyroid levels keeps fluctuating. I went on quite a low dose as low as 2.5 mg from 30 mg back in 2021 and looked like I might get into remission
