By the way....
I suffer from bipolar disorder, SAD, PTSD, GAD, panic disorder, osteoarthritis, and a major depressive disorder. I just want some peace within this skin I reside. The mask of sanity only lasts so long.

HOW MANY SYMPTOMS DO I NEED FOR DIAGNOSIS??
Hi all, I am yet to be diagnosed but feel totally confused and upset with the length of time it is taking and how slow the consultant is in dealing with me. I had been feeling poorly for about 6 months, exhausted but had difficulty sleeping, flu like symptoms but kept dragging myself to work and trying

Hospitalization Anniversary
Hi Everyone, 3 years ago today was my second hospitalization due to PP. This one was a though one cause by this point I had gone very far into my psychosis. I truly had no idea why people even wanted me to go to the hospital. I thought they were all crazy. My family finally got me to go to the ER by

Hard week, Parkinson's is progressing and I think I've been in denial as medication masked the symptoms . I feel like my family and friends don't understand what I'm going through but can't they see me struggling? They're always trying to tell me what I need to do better or different as if there is

What’s the best medication for PTSD and anxiety?
I have a big decision to make soon, what medication is right for me. I know everyone reacts differently. From 2007 till 2010 I took loads of different medications. Mood stabilisers, antidepressants, antipsychotics. I finally got off them all after my weight was out of control and I was literally a walking

That Disconnected Feeling..
Hello all, My cat ran away 2 days ago and it's got me crying and feeling just awful. I thought I couldn't feel worse.. but I guess I was wrong. But this post is not about that. I just wanted to ask those who have recovered- if you had the feeling of being disconnected from your life, like things aren't

Iron deficiency anemia
I have been diagnosed with very low iron levels and have Parkinsons. After an Endoscopy, colonoscopy, injesting a barium camera for a lower intestinal read and a negative for blood stool sample my doctors cannot find a source of a bleed anywhere but yet low iron levels. Anyone else experiencing this

OK newbies and doubters, here's a statistical pep talk!!
I like to think that I'm quite resistant to cold weather, granted my hands do get very cold very quickly, but other than that I'm of fairly hardy stock. The real test of this is 5 o'clock on a late November morning, by late I mean the 30th i.e. today, when the weather bods have predicted that polar bears

MBU's Are there plans for more?
I had PPP in 1990 after the birth of my son. I was lucky to have had a MBU on my doorstep in Winwick Hospital, near Warrington, Cheshire. The site where Winwick Hospital once stood is now a housing estate. I think the nearest MBU is in Manchester. I cannot imagine what it is like for women with PPP

Hopeless
I’m feeling so low and hopeless today. I don’t care about anything. But at the same time I feel so awful, annoying, and stupid for not caring. Everything feels so unfamiliar and i don’t feel real. Depression is settling in, anxiety is berating me, and PTSD is a never ending reminder of what happened.

Newbie looking for help
Hi I'm a newbie & looking for some advice. Around 6 yrs ago I had the sensation of food/something getting stuck in my throat. Wasn't until a year ago that I was sent for a barium swallow test and a oesophageal exam which showed gastro reflux and I was given Lansoprazole which hasn't done very much

Experience of being in a MBU?
A question about mother and baby units: can anyone tell me about her experiences in one ? what helped and what if anything could have been better ? How many others were there at the same time ? Or were you and your baby alone ?Did you learn valuable information about your depression ? How did you

Mother and Baby unit
Which mother and Baby units accept mums with a higher risk? And which have the most support for helping mums who struggle with energy to care solely for there babies due to their depression?

Apps
I need a list of good apps for dealing with anxiety, PTSD, depression- any of them. I want to try any and all options you all think would work.

Help with GERD symptoms but negative results
Hi everyone I’m hoping someone may have experienced similar issues to me and might be able to provide some guidance. I’m asthmatic well managed. A year ago positive helicobactor pylori and since had terrible breathless episodes when or just after eating, feels like an asthma attack/allergic reaction
