Anybody else have extreme PTSD from their last relationship?
It's been a year and I still have not been able to date or have sex or make any romantic contact with a man. I'm 24 and I just see abusers in all men I see. It feels like yesterday I was being abused and I am still not healed from it. I'm just grateful that it's over. When will I feel better? When will

Postpartum psychosis to bipolar disorder
I’ve wrote on here a few times and always value the response I get then I tend to forget about the page as life is so busy. I was diagnosed with postpartum psychosis after the birth of my son 3 years ago and we spent nearly two months in a mother and baby unit. Previous to his birth I had a long history

Returning after a looong break - week 1 completed!!
Hi all, Hope you’re all feeling proud of yourselves for your progress so far!! Not very good at posting things but I’m doing this so I can look back at my progress and when I hit a wall - spur myself on a little bit. The last time I attempted c25k was before the 1st lockdown (yep - a looong time

Abuse victim (domestic - boyfriend, molestation - unknown) depression anxiety ptsd insomnia para suicide
Hi I just joined this forum. I have struggled with abuse since I was a child. I have no memory of who he was but I know what happened. My brain has blocked out the rest for some reason. I moved away for college in the hopes of escaping my trauma; however, the pattern repeated. I was in an emotionally

Sertraline 25mg pep talk
Hi everyone, I was just prescribed Sertraline starting at 25mg for OCD. It has been sitting on my kitchen table for the last 3 days as I am terrified to start taking it because of the horror stories I have heard about side effects. I know it affects everyone differently so there’s no way of knowing until

Oy, so many on here also suffer from upper GI issues ie reflux, heartburn, gastritis and there's a pretty good treatment - Zinc L-Carnosine
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7146259/ "Here's a blurb from the article: "In an ethanol-induced gastro-injury rat model, ZnC treatment decreased the ulcer index of the rat stomach and showed a significant ulcer-healing effect similar to the gastric mucoprotective agent rebamipide [31].

Career in mental health
Hello! I went through psychosis last year and I’m potentially thinking to go down a career in mental health (one day). I’m just wondering if you could think of any careers that are specific to working with mother and baby/ families? A mother and baby psychotherapist or family therapist perhaps. Do you

Angela Black
Is anyone else watching Angela Black on ITV? Couldn't decide if it is triggering? Well it definitely is but it does raise questions about everyone's personal journey to recovery. And also about the outcomes for people who experience psychosis. I'm really hoping Angela is reunited with her boys etc as

Depression, anxiety, PTSD, and me
I am new here so hi everyone! I have been suffering with anxiety for almost a year now and depression for almost 3 years. I am trying my best not to isolate and stay in bed like my mind tells me to but, it feels like I am just permanently... off? I don't know how else to put it. I get anxious when it's

Has anyone used Ketamine for PTSD, depression or anxiety?
My therapist had brought it up to me as a possible way to help with my diagnosis’s. She wasn’t too sure if it would be right for me because she isn’t trained in that, but suggested I look into it. Any feedback?

Medication and second pregnancy
Hi, I was hoping to get some advice from women who have had PPP and gone on to have a second pregnancy. I had severe PPP with my first born, developing only a couple of days after birth. I was admitted into an MBU for 3 months. Responded quickly to treatment on Olanzapine. Several tumultuous years followed

Electrolytes and postpartum psychosis
Hey!Recently i read an article, where it was explained that lithium is used as a mood stabilizer due to its capacity to have an impact on ionic in-cell balance and also on transportation of ions of sodium and calcium between cells. And that the imbalances of sodium may be one of the causes of depression
