Neurochemistry: The Mind At Dis-ease
The fog falls on me today. Maybe Seasonal Affective Disorder is a possibility after all. I am curious and passionate about many things, but what good is curiosity without credentials or plans? I am (naturally?) low on energy, so all I feel like doing can be summed up as sedentary leisure activities

When I first sought help for my Generalized Anxiety Disorder, I bought into the marketing hype of BetterHelp (they advertise everywhere since 2020). I mentioned to my therapist on there how much I dislike Facebook because they collect far to much data on its users, so that they can generate more targeted

hi, I’m new
Hi, I’m new to this and this is my first post. I’m hoping talking to people will help me deal with my anxiety and depression. Any advice on how to cope with symptoms is welcome, as is anyone who just wants to chat. hope to get to know some of y’all.😁

LENS Neurofeedback Low Energy Neurofeedback System update.
I have had agoraphobia for the past 4 1/2 years. What has helped me may not be available in your area. It is called LENS Neurofeedback. LENS stands for Low Energy Neurofeedback System. It is different from traditional Neurofeedback in that it introduces a low current into your brain rather than just

Just saying hey
it’s been a while since I posted … been working on some things and also just working a lot. To the many new ppl I see here this is a very helpful and healing space. Most all of us have dealt with extreme anxiety (me) and/or depression and everyone is here to help. In some of my worst days in the past

Dissociative disorders
Hello! Sorry I’m always posting haha. Even over three years later I still have questions about pp and my experience. When I was ill and a couple other times when unwell I have felt there was another person inside of me. She told me her name and told me to do awful awful things. I didn’t do them.

Fidgeting
It took me a life to do this. To write to anyone, everyone ,and this is because I have no one to talk to, but also because I've decided to live and live well. Unbelievably I'm an influencer and have no problem speaking in public but anxiety in my offline life it's taking a toll on me, my auto-diagnose

Hello! New to the group
I was diagnosed with depression for about a decade and have been taking medicine since then. I also believe I have anxiety and A-PTSD. I am curious about how much a medicine helps or supports with depression because I feel like it helps but not all the time. Some days are difficult and some less or numb

Post-happiness depression and anxiety
I had a great weekend away with my girlfriend. When I woke up this morning at the resort, the anxiety slowly started to creep in. As we drove home it got worse and once I was alone I broke down in tears. Why do I fall into a depression and panic after having a good time. It’s like I’m afraid I’ll never

Hello, So, there are no really professional mental healthcare workers where I live. I have symptoms of mental health disorder but because of this, I can’t get diagnosed. Deep down, I know there’s something wrong with me, I’ve been dealing with depression and anxiety for a really long time now, alone

Chris Kamara - Apraxia?
https://www.sportbible.com/football/football-news/chris-kamara-speech-condition-soccer-saturday-728620-20231109 I read this this morning and my first thought was, 'I wonder if he's just under medicated'... Then wondered if there's a link between UAT and apraxia? Anyone else get frustrated that all

Med switch seems to have worked
I started Zoloft (transitioning from Prozac) on Saturday. By Monday, I thought I was doing better. By today (Tuesday), I’m sure of it. I probably needed to switch meds six months ago. I still let outside events and other people’s behaviour influence my moods too much. But the medicine is helping me
