I a little over three months pregnant, in active addiction on and off the past few years, and am more depressed than ever.bi found who I believe you be my soulmate finally..but sometimes he can be really mean and it makes me more sad. Idk what to do anymore honestly to feel better. (plz be mindful of what you say and don't just lecture me on leaving my boyfriend)

Help.

Hi embeal,

You came to the right place and I hope someone can give you a great answer. Your best bet to help you through this situation might be a therapist. A professional is usually going to be more effective at solving a problem. And obviously since you mentioned you are pregnant, it is important that you are happy and healthy.

If that isn't an option due to cost, or maybe you just don't want to do that, then it is great that you came here to reach out for support. Someone else might have been in a similar situation before and can offer more than I can.

Take care!

You're 100% right on that. I wish I had to motivation to do one single thing ( like getting out of bed)Everything seems impossible. I want to change and basically know how I just feel like I'm going to fail so there doesn't really seem to be a point in going through all the struggles to get there

Thank you! Xo

Hi embeal92,I relate to you so much. I've just spent the last month not wanting to do one single thing and staying in bed almost every day. I used to do yoga every day and I've lost all the muscle tone I built up, it's pretty sad. I also feel like I'm going to fail so what's the point, especially when I have zero energy. The only thing that works for me is... not trying. I don't fight the depression. I allow it. And eventually it clears. I think depression is the body/mind/spirit's way of saying "I'm exhausted--please rest". So I listen. And eventually my system has rested enough and my energy and motivation returns. I start to enjoy things again. It's very counterintuitive to NOT fight the depression, but it seems to work. Please know you're not alone.

I was in your position 26 years ago. I can tell you how my life turned out, and what I wish I had done.
