Constant dull ache on left side of chest... will glycerin spray help?
Hi All, First time post here. I had bypass surgery (x5) a few years back and have had regular pain in my chest since. The doctor at the time said that it was probably caused by smaller blocked arteries that hadn’t been bypassed. Does the spray work for these dull pains? I’ve been reluctant to use it

Gotta love a freebie
Got talking to a guy at work today who had noticed that I've been doing a lot of running lately. He's an ultra-runner! Anyway, we got talking shoes and I mentioned I needed a new pair but was a bit lost as to what to get. He recommended a shop not far from me then asked what size I was. "I'm a 10 normally

Persistent tickly cough
I have a persistent tickly cough. I've had anti biotics but the cough just comes back again after a few weeks. It's particularly bad at night. I used to find that pholcodeine cough mixture helped, but I've been told that I shouldn't take it because it is not compatible with the warfarin Im on for PAF

Glycerol Trinitrate headaches
Hi All. My GP has given me a glycerol Trinitrate spray for angina pain which works really well but gives me a hammering headache and makes me dizzy. I understand these side effects are normal and usually go away when you get used to the spray, can anyone who uses this spray advise how long it took them

First experiences with Pegasys for Polythycemia Vera
(https://jhoonline.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s13045-017-0395-1) The advantage of pegylation is that attaching
polyethylene
glycol
to the interferon slows down the pharmacokinetics, creating a less sharp Tmax so the side effects aren't as severe, and making it stay in the body longer.

What is energy?
This page on the British Nutrition Foundation website was mentioned here recently. It encapsulates almost every incorrect belief in mainstream nutrition, and I thought it would be instructive to pull it apart: https://www.nutrition.org.uk/healthyliving/basics/what-is-energy.html I do realise, incidentally

HAPPY DAYS, and rainbows
But this multivitamin has magnesium in it which seems like that top of
polyethylene
glycol
and the low fod map diet helps with pain and bpwel movements with ibs c. I wouldnt eat sweets or chocolate for it can make pain from bloating worse. I'll update at a once I know more.

Hello everyone! I return to this blog as one of my last resorts. 7 months ago I had unprotected oral sex. All STIs tests are negative. All the candida tests I did so far (at least 6) are negative. Pharyngeal exudates and nasal exudates came back negative. Blood tests are normal. After more than half

Back pain after suppository
I``ve started using glycerin suppositories regularly to help with constipation and incomplete evacuation - which they do. However after using the suppository and having a BM I get bad lower back pain which last quite a while. Just wondered if this happens to anyone else? I suspect it is something

New running shoes
So I bought some new running shoes (brooks glycerin 16. About 5-10 into using them I’m getting pain on my left foot only on the Outside for 10-15 mins then it seems to go. Is this just a case of breaking them in or is it A foot issue? I’ve never had it Before with other trainers but these are my first

Micralax
I have variable IBS C and D but am mainly having problems with constipation at the moment. I do go to the loo several times a day but have to strain and always feel there is something left behind. Glycerin suppositories help but aren`t comfortable to use so I am trying Micralax mini enemas instead.

BMs and shaky legs!
I`m having to use glycerin suppositories at the moment to combat constipation - they work well but after a BM (which can be quite powerful!) my legs are wobbly for an hour or 2 after. Does anyone else find this. When I am going through a diarrhoea phase I also feel wobbly each time I go to the loo.
