I have a persistent tickly cough. I've had anti biotics but the cough just comes back again after a few weeks. It's particularly bad at night. I used to find that pholcodeine cough mixture helped, but I've been told that I shouldn't take it because it is not compatible with the warfarin Im on for PAF. I am at a loss to know just what I can take. Honey and glycerine based products have little effect and my GP is now on a drive to stop antibiotics.

Persistent tickly cough
I have a similar problem. It comes and goes in severity. Take Phocodeine when its bad. i take Apixaban. Doc. seems to think that unless you are guzzling a lot of it it is ok to take. It helps me to go off to sleep so not more coughing. I also cough during the day but endure that.
Been checked out pretty thourouhly and doc. thinks it could be mucus drip from higher up in my nose.......nasal drip'?
Hi, I have had the nasal drip for most of my adult life, particularly in the winter. However the bisoprolol (I think) has made it a year round problem. Sometimes I try a nasal spray made with sea water and this does help. But it is not for continuous use. Have you found anything which does give relief. Thanks.
I had an irritating cough for a long time. It was suggested that it may be caused by 'reflux' so I took Gaviscon. And that works for me.
I have been on Warfarin for about 11 years, unfortunately there are lots of over the counter drugs are a no go. The most well known ones are grapefruit, cranberry’s so I use paracetamol. Anti biotics also interferes with Warafarin, bloods have to be checked regularly....
