Bought these Brooks Glycerin 16 shoes and two pairs of Twin Skin Unisex Anklet - Blister Socks after a neutral gait analysis on a treadmill.
Ya Beauties: Bought these Brooks Glycerin 1... - Couch to 5K
Ya Beauties

Oooh more shoe porn : )
They look gorgeous. Well done for treating yourself !
Loved the treadmill, no longer will I be calling it a dreadmill, the man in shop set it at 6km, with the new shoes on I felt I could have ran a 5K in 30 minutes, however, he switched it off after two minutes. π π.
Yes, I think treadmills have a bad reputation, but I have found mine very useful during allergy season
I liked that treadmill very much, he set it at 6kh, although I was only on it with the new shoes on for two minutes I felt that I could have stayed on it for another 28 minutes, then it would have been a 30 minutes 5K..
mine only has a speed setting, not pace, so if I set mine at 6km I would take 50 minutes to run 5km lol
I am querying that 6km a hour, should that not be 6 minutes a kilometer???! Whatever it was, it definitely was a 6, he said at that pace I would have ran a 30 minute 5K, of course, maybe after 15 minutes I would have slowed down a bit, who knows. π
ππ and I bet you could have done it as well π. Love those shoes!

It's all about the shoes . Nice ππ

I've just done week 7 run 2, so six more runs until I book myself in for gait analysis, so far my Sketchers have worked wonders, getting me through C25K all but twice now plus extra runs.
They look like nice shoes.

PS. That should be ANTI blister socks

Lovely! Hope you run well in them! I need new road shoes soon...!

Lovely shoes Al, you will run like the wind in themπJust out of interest, how long does it take for gait analysis as I promised myself proper shoes for graduation but not had time yet, do I need to wear leggings and my own trainers to get it done?
I got the gait analysis within 3 minutes of entering the shop, the man asked me my normal shoe size, which is size 7, he then asked me to take my shoes AND socks off, go onto a treadmill, start it up slowly and gradually quicken it up to 6kh for around a minute, then showed me a video, sometimes in slow motion of my style of running, pronation, neutral, asked me to try on several shoes a size bigger than my normal 7, I then chose the shoes in the photo from several, finally, I was on the treadmill running with those shoes for a couple of minutes, altogether I was in the shop for about 35 minutes. π π

FABULOUS!

Looking good there AlMorr!!

Love them, Alan! Happy running! πββοΈ

Nice shoe porn... enjoy that first run in them, youβll be floating on air.
Thanks UNFITNOMORE, my left foot is a little sore when I run at the moment, probably caused by my last 33.55 minute 5K run last Sunday in ordinary trainers, so high time I bought proper running shoes. π π

Phwoar!!! The shoes, not the legs! Do I spot a Runnerβs Tan? π€£ What make are the socks?
I still do a lot of cycling, aways in shorts, my legs are tanned because of that and probably due to running as well.
The socks, which I bought two pairs are
"Twin skin Unisex Anklet Ultimate Anti - Blister socks" will only wear the shoes when running, but wear the socks at other times as well, especially if I am going long walks in the winter months.

Nothing neutral about that blue !!! Positively luminous!

Been looking at a pair of Brooks myself.... definitely on my list to trial out! They look great too!

Theyβre great ! Iβll be thinking of you as Mr Blue Sky from now on π

So glad you went for gait analysis and got some great running shoes, Alan. I know that when I changed my shoes it made such a difference so I wish you much pleasure and comfort from the Brooks.
Nice trainers Alan and you have got the next ones up from the ghost 11 that I have I hope you got a bargain π
Thatβs a bargain Alan see what happens June July is best to buy to get a bargain I wish I waited and did that but I canβt complain about my trainers they are so comfy next time which I hope I get a few years at least out of these ones and then I might get next ones up the glycerin ones but by the time I get another pair they will have other models out are they a neutral shoe I take it then Alan π

Oh wowsers!!!
They are so awesome and so....Turquoise!!!
Wishing you many...many happy runs in them xx
Thanks Floss, I like that word wowsers, Turquoise, I liked the treadmill that I was on, from now on I won't be calling it a dreadmill π.
lovely shoes, nice legs... and do I see a 'runners' tan line at the sock mark!!!??? : )
