Got talking to a guy at work today who had noticed that I've been doing a lot of running lately. He's an ultra-runner!
Anyway, we got talking shoes and I mentioned I needed a new pair but was a bit lost as to what to get. He recommended a shop not far from me then asked what size I was. "I'm a 10 normally, so probably need 10.5/11 for running"
He then proceeded to take his shoes off saying "I've just bought a new pair so you can have these. There's still some tread left but they probably won't last too long. If they're no good just chuck them in the bin, but you might get a couple months out of them"
Can't wait to try them out on tomorrow's 4k. They are incredibly comfy compared to everything I've worn before!

Brooks are a good brand. Personally, I’d be wary about running in shoes worn by someone else as they will have moulded to their way of running and their foot shape over time. You might also have a different gait . By all means, wear them if they feel more comfy than your current shoes but I would recommend a visit to a specialist running shop, have gait analysis and ask Santa for a pair of new ones. You and your feet deserve them.
Can't imagine anyone would want my old shoes apart from maybe on those dodgy websites. I don't even like putting my own feet in them sometimes!
Are they the ones I might have accidentally made a verruca comment about?........well I did!🤣🤣🤣 other people’s shoes is still a no no in my book but that’s just me!🤣🤣
But they do look good and the colour is good. 👍👍
Thanks for sharing🤗🎄🎅🏻⛄️ I run in brooks and honestly their great. I love mine!😍
Yes they are, I've had a couple of pairs of those, the last pair of 16s I got for £79 down from £130 as end of line, now the current glycerine 17s are around £140.
I couldn't wear other people's old running shoes, they may look ok and feel comfy to start off with, but are probably well past their prime and could give discomfort for you.
And knowing others sweaty feet possibly with infection have been in them, I just couldn't..
I wouldn't, for all you know he's an overpronator and you're a supinator or vice versa....they might be utterly unsuitable for you, or at least might have been suitable once upon a time, but his different gait has changed the shape/support...
