why would I need a Myocardial Perfusion Scan
Referred to Cardiology by doctors and other consultants because of signs/symptoms, finally told at Cardiology absolutely nothing wrong with my heart so why have I been referred for a Myocardial Perfusion Scan if nothing at all wrong.

Anyone developed a Pulmonary Embolism while stimming?
So I am just out of hospital after suffering severe hyper stimulation syndrome after my egg collection last week, which also left me with a PE and
pleural
effusion
! Just wondered if anyone else had had this happen?

I have been told that my CT scan has shown a complete resolution of ascites, decrease in the omental nodularity as well as the adnexal mass and also decreased right
pleural
effusion
and a confirmed good response to chemotherapy. This is good isn’t it? Lots of love and hugs Sheenagh

COVID while on targeted therapy
The thing is, when she was firstly diagnosed, she had malignant
pleural
effusion
. They drained it and I think they put some medicine there (sorry for my lack of knowledge on this topic).

Losing my determination
I was diagnosed with NSCLC in mid 2019 after extensive tests at a hospital with a specialist dept for diagnosis and forward treatment. One primary tumour in each lung and 2 lymph. They passed me over to the Oncology dept once diagnosis was complete. First was Pembrolizumab which gave a tangible improvement

Any advice greatly appreciated🙏
Apologies for the long post. Hope everyone had a good Christmas and best wishes for a happy & healthy New Year head. Has anyone undertaken a three week residential pain management course in Bath? Am I right in thinking that it is primarily physio and psychology based and is there any medication input

Cardiology follow up
I had a heart attack in August 2020. Subsequent to that I was taken to A&E at least 6 times having been sent there by my GP who really did not want to know about my symptoms. As soon as I said "slight chest pain" an ambulence turned up. If it was not so sad it would be funny. 6 weeks ago the paramedics

I'm booked for an MRI Cardiac stress perfusion next week, what are your experiences of these scans?
I had a stent in May and was really well until September when my Angina returned with attitude. My Naproxen has been increased to 20 mg twice a day and 2.5mg Bisoprolal added. I'm experiencing daily pain and have had a couple of visits to A&E when the pain spread to my neck and jaw.

If so, did the
pleural
effusion
reoccur after the completion of thedrainage? I had a drainage installed on Wednesday. Boy oh boy, what a nightmare it has been so far. Would appreciate any input in the subject.

CT Scan
Hi. I recently had a ct scan but I’ve now received a letter saying that because there was a lot of calcium they could not get clear images. I now need a myocardial perfusion scan. I don’t understand. Is this a sign I may have serious problems.

A large injection of hope required. Please.
My first scan after 3 months showed that the cancer had stabilized but now the second scan has shown that the treatment has stopped working and I now have a
pleural
effusion
with some spots of cancer. I am despondent and scared.

Third pleural effusion in 2 weeks..
Hi....I have just had my third
pleural
effusion
in 2 weeks. All in all they drained out about 5 ltrs of fluid. I know that pleural effusions often return, but I hadn´t imagined them to return that quickly. Has that ever happened to you before? What did your doctors recommend?
