Zoladex and HRT
Spoke to surgeonSo my surgeon rang yesterday and explained why they aborted the hysterectomy on Tuesday. He said my cervix was fused to my bowel and possibly left ovary and my rectum had been pulled down too. He said it looked to be endometriosis that had been there a long, long time and they wouldn't

coming off oxicodone
Despite the victorious stopping of my RLS, i am still struggling with sleep. I have been taking 10mg of oxicodone. One dose at night. But it had been making me dog tired and zombie like during day. I have read lots on here about spreading the dose but i want to come off it. I am starting to cut it down

ADT for a year?
Had intermediate grade PC no spread, had SBRT. Three months out my Psa is .03. Am on Lupron for the fourth month out of a projected 12 month stint. Do docs ever say, six or nine months is enough? Testosterone at 6 right now.

Cortisone Injections?
Hi Does anyone have information on whether one can receive cortisone shots for various injuries unrelated to PC without adversely impacting one’s ADT treatment? I am in physical therapy for an injured shoulder and recently had a cortisone shot and forgot to consult my MO before receiving it. I was

Acupuncture and Hot Flashes
Throughout my life as an athlete, I have always worked out and continue to do so. I have also always tended to run hot and sweat a lot. I am now 15 months into ADT and hot flashes have been epic. Every 1 to 2 hours - full body flop sweats for 3-5 minutes. I have gone to wearing black shirts so it

Insurance Rant
Sorry folks, I just need to sound off about the way insurance companies treat us in their medical screening. Generally I feel quite good, yes I have had challenges and times when I have been very poorly but today, this month I am pretty much cancer free and I feel like a survivor. But the insurance

Does pee urgency get worse after radiation?
I had IMRT 60 Gy circa August 2022. Since then sometimes it is very hard to hold a pee back. I'm concerned it might be getting worse. This is probably going to get a lot of responses -- please bring them on!

Aetna appeal for Firmagon denial
My husband was diagnosed with high risk aggressive prostate cancer, Gleason 9. Plus one para rectal node positive. The doctor prescribed 2 years of ADT plus 5 weeks of IMRT. Had first 240 mg dose of firmagon on September 14 with no major side effects so far. Doctor used firmagon to avoid testosterone

Fragility score on Osteoscan and different meds.
Hello to “my turn to” friends. This is a new one to me.I had an osteoscan, my second. The last one was nearly two years ago. Since then I have had a Thr for Avascular necrosis and I am still struggling along dealing with flares after eight years. I have been on Leflunomide for two months now. Tapering

Heat or Light Therapy
Does anyone use Infrared heat or Red Light Therapy (RLT) and has it changed anything for you? I have not tried either one. I do use the sauna after each swim workout: ice cold shower, 15 min sauna, ice cold shower, sauna, shower. This really shocks my system and I feel that it is helpful to really

Women are not taken seriously by most doctors when experiencing health problems.
I went through a really rough time a couple of years after I had my first child when I was about 31 years old. I had never experienced PMT prior to the birth. I was lucky. However, I became aware of gradual fatigue, and anxiety, and hot flushes. I went to my GP to ask if I could be going through the

Do I need to stop taking estrogen? Feel as if I'm choosing between mental and physical health.
So I've read a lot now- probably too much. From what I can gather from things (and I am new to this - didnt know I had endometriosis until Tuesday when they aborted my hysterectomy as my bowel is fused to my cervix) estrogen seems to be the driving force behind endometriosis. Is that true? It also seems
