Changing bandages
Hey everyone, my boyfriend just tried to change the bandages at each side of my stomach following the surgery, but the bandages seem to be actually stuck to my skin like felt as though my skin was being ripped off🤢 we had to leave it as it was far too painful. I had a look online and it says if it is

Is the end in sight???
Hi everyone, this is my first post and reading others seems I am in the right place to discuss these issues with others who know exactly what I am going through. Others, even close friends, I think at times just dont get it... From what I read others too have had a long long road to diagnosis and treatment

10+ High fertility days
Hi guys, Anyone had over 10 days of high fertility flashing smilies on a CB digital advance before? I'm on day 10 now which is unusual for me, the line is getting darker (both on CB and on the cheapy sticks) but no peak yet.... The CB website says I probs won't ovulate this month, which would suck.

Is my Endo back?
Hi Everyone, Looking for some advice or anyone who's been through a similar experience. I had Endo 3 years ago some of my main symptoms where bowel issues bloating, gassy, stomach cramps and diarrhea whenever I ate to much. Initially the doctor put it down to IBS. Obviously that wasn't the case and it

what to try next?
Hi everyone :) I don't think I've posted before, probably because as awful as endo is, I've been lucky in a lot of ways. . I was diagnosed via laparoscopy in 2015, and I live in a city with an accredited endo centre, so my surgeon knew what he was doing. He found and excised a few spots in various places

I cannot trust my GP
I have had a GP for 8 yrs who used to categorize everything as depression or anxiety or uncurable or everyone gets it. I used to have gut issue and my GP would just tell me that is normal thing. And I should change my diet I had given up on NHS. I had stopped visiting my GP altogether. However

Various Questions
Hi I'm now 3 weeks off pramipexole and started Gabapentin a week ago. The first 2 of those weeks I was in hospital having surgery for something else and recovering with opioid painkillers which removed the need for anything else. The 3rd week I started gabapentin but I don't have the levels right

As I say goodbye 👋 for a wee while to running and to posting here, I am aware that new adventures await. I cannot run in the short term as I face surgery & recovery but I can look ahead and plan what happens next. You may have just completed HU10 or a 5k race… and living in the happy aftermath but

Statins
I had a call from my GP surgery about taking statins.Apparently my cholesterol is okay but I have a 38% risk of having a stroke or heart attack. Even though I take anticoagulant statins work in a different way and are recommended for me as I am in persistent afib I do not want to take statins but wondered

Borderline Ovarian Tumour and Endo diagnosis.
Hi all, I’ve recently had some news that I will need to have a full hysterectomy due to a biopsy result from an ovarian cyst I had removed 6 weeks ago. There is the option to keep one ovary for now. I was very lucky to have been seen by a gynaecologist and surgeon at my first referral appointment

New treatment
2 weeks ago I had liver ablation to remove 3 tumors on my liver. 2 were responding to treatment (anastrozole and kisqali for HER2 neg) and 1 was not. Surgery went well. Biopsy showed that the growing tumor was triple negative. Seemingly the other 2 (breast and hip met) are still HER2 negative. Anyone

Hello Glaucoma UK community, I am currently in the process of creating a page on our website for the most commonly asked questions with regards to glaucoma treatments and surgeries. As you might know, we operate a buddy scheme at Glaucoma UK, which allows us to put people who are due to have a glaucoma

Iron levels.
Hi . I've had 12 transfusions after internal bleeding and surgery in April. My hb was at 6 before the transfusion. My levels are as below. Is this sufficient or would I still need a supplement. I am weaned off pramipexole now but while is hospital I was given tramacet and that was helping my legs.

Before I leave this wonderful group I'd like to pick your individual/collective brains. Since it's too late to help my husband, I'm looking for info that I can pass on to my son and 6 grandsons so they might better understand this awful cancer should they ever get it. I'm also providing a bit more info

Update on tests etc
hi all. Just an update after my recent CT scan, and the dreaded bronchoscopy on Tuesday this week. Obviously haven't had full results of latest CT scan, apart from a short note from my consultant to say there was a 6.5 millimetre nodule in ththe Apex of my right lung. They will monitor it, if it stays
