Unicuspid arotic valve replacement

hi I’m Leah, I am 20 yrs and I had bicuspid arotic valve since I was born I started to have symptoms around 3 months ago and came for a checkup and LIVERPOOL heart and chest hospital and ive been admitted. After testing they found out I have unicuspid arotic valve, very rare, does anybody else have this???

I am scheduled for surgery next week with the Ross procedure?? Has anybody has this?? Thx

Hi Leah. Although I can't help you - my problem is with the mitral valve - İ have seen the following group recommended on the British Heart Forum by people with aortic valve issues - it is a Facebook site entitled UK Aortic & Heart Defects pre-surgery post surgery. İt is said to be a very supportive group. Also the British Heart Forum has people talking about the Ross procedure. Hope this helps if you weren't aware of these. Hi, I've not heard of it either. Have you had your surgery now? How did it go? I had a bicuspid valve replaced 2 weeks ago today.
