Hey everyone, my boyfriend just tried to change the bandages at each side of my stomach following the surgery, but the bandages seem to be actually stuck to my skin like felt as though my skin was being ripped off🤢 we had to leave it as it was far too painful. I had a look online and it says if it is stuck then to soak the bandage with water. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone before and if soaking it with water worked? It was so painful I'm scared to do it again incase it's the same🙄 thank you💖

hunni when was your surgery ? Why I ask is I waited five days after my excision surgery to remove the waterproof like plasters even then one of the wounds I had to redress as it looked like the stiching was coming undone. If you can’t take the waterproof plasters off I would soak in water or get an adhesive remover to free it up. You don’t want to just take it off if it has started to stick. Cheaper option is to soak with warm water
Thank you!! Yeah mine was five days ago, omg really that sounds brutal, that's what I had the fear of last night that that the stitch was gonna rip off🫠 I might even leave it on for another day then just incase, thank you ill try an adhesive remover I think!
Perfect thank you!!
