My soon to be sister in law has lupus as do I.Her insurance has just been canceled and she cannot get her plaquenil anymore
My fiance's sister has been on
plaquenil
for over 2 years now. They cut her off of her insurance because she is 26 and cannot be on her parents any longer. She could not walk before taking it.Does anyone know how she could still get it without insurance?

Hydroxy - Quinoric ?
I notice that the last box was a mix of "
Plaquenil
" and "Quinoric", and this is Quinoric only. I have never before noticed any difference between one brand of a med and another. Could this be the problem? It could, of course, be just a coincidence. Grateful for any help.

Introduction and a query
The ENT did an ANA and it came back 1:1280 and I was referred to a rheumatologist who made the diagnosis, added
Plaquenil
to my extensive list of medications and referred me to a hematologist. What I don't know is what to expect from the hematologist.

My doctor dismissed Hughes Syndrome!
I was explaining to my doctor how some of you guys take
Plaquenil
to reduce antibody levels to prevent clotting, and the concept just flew right over his head. He said that
Plaquenil
thins the blood, and that I am already on Warfarin and do not need
Plaquenil
.

Hi all I have been successfully treating Churg Strauss Syndrome for the past three years with Methotrexate and
plaquenil
. I also take Ramipril to keep my blood pressure down and more recently a beta blocker.

Changing from quinoric to zentiva hydroxychloroquine sulphate.
I think the zentiva version is similiar to
plaquenil
. I took the new brand last night and have had terrible stomach ache. I wonder if it's coincidence or whether others have experienced the same when been given the other brand. Hope it settles in the next few days.

APS/Hughes and Factor V Leiden
I recently was also diagnosed with APS and my rheumatologist has added
Plaquenil
to the mix. According to him and my neurologist, that should further help fight the clotting, the painful joints and flare ups and my fibromyalgia. I also have had TIA's and suffer hemiplegic migraines.

Blood tests match how I feel......
Keep taking
plaquenil
, double up on anti inflammatories & add steroids if no better & pain becomes unbearable. Apparently results much the same as when I was diagnosed in 2012/13.

He was intending to change me over to Warfarin and
plaquenil
, but will ring me on Thursday with his decision. The Xarelto may suffice and he doesn't want to put me on plaquenel if I don't have APS.

30 year lupus vet, just starts meds...
So my first month on steroids, felt great, and they introduced
Plaquenil
to me 3 weeks ago. Not feeling too great since then. I think I'm getting an ugly "MOON" face from the steroids, which is lovely, but I’ll just have to tolerate that one for a while.
