Hey all, I just wanted to post an update on my personal Colon Cancer Stage 4 journey. Things have taken a very strange and not good turn for me. I truly am very Worried and Concerned about the refusal of local Drs. to put a Stent into my Colon -(they all say I desperately Need!), so that I can go on

HDR Brachytherapy
I’m resting up in my UK hospital bed after going through HDR-brachytherapy (as a monotherapy) the past two days, to treat intermediate stage (G3+4) PC. I had radiation delivered in two fractions, about 18 hours apart. People can obviously read up all about this treatment option online at various sites

ADT or Hospice?
My 96 year old FIL was recently diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer which has metastasized to his liver, lymph nodes, pelvis and spine, with a compression fracture in L12. The family is at a crossroads, deciding between starting him on ADT or having him enter hospice. As the urologist described

Radiation after Radical Prostatectomy with Lymph Node Removal in Non Metastatic and Metastatic Men. Need some answers.
For anyone following this post, just asking for clarity on the differences and to share your individual experiences. I had a radical prostatectomy with lymph node removal only 8, negative for pca. But, found with positive EPE margins, bladder wall, and microscopic bladder neck. A RO mentioned radiation

Bowel endo surgery
I was diagnosed with endo via lap four years ago. At the time i had an endometrioma removed but they left some endo (including a nodule) on my left uterosacral ligament as it was too close to the ureter. I also had mirena fitted at the same time and discharged straight after the surgery. Although there

Additional therapy(ies) right after radical prostatectomy based on pathological findings?
Is there any recommendation for doing additional therapy(ies), radiation, hormone therapy and/or ADT right after surgery in order to reduce the risk of Biochemical recurrence? Can pathological findings, below, recommend additional treatment? stage, tumor size/diameter, multifocality, extraprostatic

AIS National Cancer Survivor's Day
Hey y'all, here's to all of us Survivors 💙AIS Adventist Health hosted a lil gathering to fete Survivors. Lol, they asked me to speak😬 In previous years, I woulda been so nervous that I'd chug a beer before.🍺 But now I guess that the retelling of the #stageIVpca saga has been etched in my memory

another treatment decision.
prostatectomy 2011, salvage radiotherapy 2015. Psa levels undetectable since then but lots of late effect problems from the radiotherapy. Have had several urethral dilatations due to strictures and following the last one earlier this year my incontinence has increased . The Urologist has suggested

About Radiation After Radical Prostatectomy
Do Physicians only recommend radiation for non metastatic men? and only recently in Oligo metastatic patients? Do they use radiation as a tool to bring psa down in metastatic men? and or radiation is only used as palliative for bones and pain? My apologies, If I’m not processing this thoroughly
