Second time around and no further ....
Please bear with me everyone, I have had another rubbish appointment with a GP who hasn't listened and I need to vent to people who might actually get it! When I was a kid I was perfectly normal! I had a myriad of hobbies and after school activities that I continued until I hit puberty. This was not

This is the first of a new series of posts prompted by a new Valproic Acid [VPA] study [14]. A recent population study [13] is worth noting too. It must be 6 years since my doctor turned down my request for Valproic Acid. He had just turned down my request for Metformin & I was pulling his leg by asking

Tetracycline / doxycycline / minocycline
This post is prompted by Ed Miller's: "Ten days of the antibiotic clendamycin lowered my PSA for 3 months." I remembered seeing some PCa-tetracycline studies. (No PCa hits for "Clindamycin".) The matrix metalloproteinase [MMP] family comprise enzymes that break down extracellular matrix proteins.

Being tested for coeliac but B12 low, and ferratin and now have headaches. Just started Metformin. Is there a link?
Hi new on here. I have several autoimmune disorders. I added B12 to regular full blood test, on Azathioprine and it came back 246. Rheumy said it was ok but I read I need to be nearer 300. Previous blood test showed unusual red blood cells and low haemaglobin. Also low ferratin. Recently have coeliac

Newly diagnosed - metformin offered but unsure of long term use
My daughter just got diagnosed, she is 16 years old. This was following hair loss and lack of regular periods. GP referred us to a consultant who took blood tests and then said she should go onto Dianette and asked us to come back in 3 months. The best thing she mentioned was the Verity website but
