Muscle pain in chest
I have muscle pain in my chest which has been ongoing for 4 months. I've had a myocardial perfusion scan as it started on my left side and a chest xray which were both negative. I know it's muscular as it only hurts when i move. So, if i reach for something that part will hurt and go away after about

Not understanding the training!
HI all, I've not posted for a while as I've felt a marked lack of direction in my running. I've been running just over a year now and have felt good at reaching the various milestones I set myself, namely 5k, 10k, 10miles.... And then I had a tumble and hurt the cartilage in my right knee more than I

NHS pension appeal
I was turned down for my NHS pension in December. I intend to appeal, but I am worried that I may get turned down again. Since my first application I have had CBT, physio for osteoarthritis, tried most pain killers available to me (I have stage 4 kidney disease so are unable to use many of the drugs

Here we go again.
Well after injury and nearly 4 months of physio, exercise and rest, I am back. I started week 1 again and seem to be coping, but am surprised at how difficult it is. I began c25k in February his year, it took me 15 weeks to complete, I was amazed that I was able achieve 3 runs a week for 30mins. Has

Rest day
I did a 2 mile walk this morning in 31 minutes quite pleased with that but only leg work after that cos ; Apparently I appear to have torn a tendon in my arm so no upper body work for me in the gym until I see the physio on the 26th this month. I may try to increase my distance tomorrow when I do

Pmr, Rheumy,Pred and GP's
Wow, I was diagnosed about 2013 with PMR when the private physios decided it was not something they could work out what the problem was. No refund. Went to a NHS Physio who in 5 minutes realised it was most likely PMR, did a blood test which showed PMR as the most likely culprit and sent me back to

Hip Replacement and PMR
Dear friends, I've picked up from your posts that quite a few of you have had replacement surgery while on Pred and would like some advice. I have severe osteoarthritis in right hip, it's been there for years getting slowly worse but as it never gave me direct pain but only tightness and restriction

How Many ISTS do you have? I'm up to 8!
My journey started with my OrthopedIST that told me “sadly, your knee pain is not a torn meniscus, it’s arthritis”. After the pity party was over (and a bottle of wine was consumed) I pulled up my big girl panties and started my new collection – ISTS! My next appointment was to my new friend, the RheumatologIST

been to the gp, card carrying PMR now
hallo! well, forty five minutes with the gp. he's confident with pmr diagnosis, but slightly concerned that the corticoids will obscure the things we've been keeping an eye on for the past bunch of time, which is why he was hesitant, and hoping he could get a quick rheumy consult organized. he could

Fed up/ angry 😡
So had my post op appointment today with my surgeon , who carried out my laparoscopy 3 months ago.. I tried to ask questions.. like why is my pain worse now than it was prior my op? .. his response was 'well I removed the Endo so you shouldn't be in pain' .. I then went on to express that I have to take
