Air Physio
Just wondered if anyone else has experience of using an Air Physio for treatment of COPD. I am a pretty active 72 year old and have Level 1 COPD which was diagnosed a year ago and have been prescribed Trimbow which I do not find particularly helpful. About 3 months ago ago I thought I would purchase

Learning to live with PMR
My PMR started with strange stiffness, as if I'd been riding a horse, around the hips and buttocks in April/May 2022. I ignored it as far as possible, trying physio with no success. It was when I did the Dales Way in Yorkshire in June/July that I realised my fatigue, slowness and trouble getting over

Bronchiectasis and use Pulmicort with tooth issues.
Hello, I have Bronchiectasis and use Pulmicort. I cannot do this at the moment due to a temporary filling. Will be in until after Christmas. Worried the force may pop it out when nothing open. I have fragile teeth. Had to stop using my Acapella. Therefore switched to upping my breathing exercises

Pleasant Touch for Chronic Pain
Some of you may know I run a company that supports healthcare clinics and this article came from one of my physio clients. I love a bit of neuroscience and this very much based on neuroscience and pain receptors. Thought it was interesting. It advocates massage - not the pummelling, misery inducing

'The War on Terror' brought about 'The War on mTBI'
The signature injury from the 'War on Terror' is mTBI (concussion, PCS). So many soldiers got mTBI and the powers that be realized conventional mainstream diagnostics and treatment were of no use for rehabilitation. The private sector was brought in to try and solve the problem (this is all in the US

any suggestions have you hadsimilar symptoms
I live in Tenerife and broke my ankle in 3 places inMarch. I have two plates fitted. Very good movement but a nasty ulcer that took 12 plus weeks to heal. In the middle of rehabilitation I started with bad back ,then sciatica but the physio was only to do my ankle. By the time I finished all the muscles

like a warm hug
after a year on the waiting list I am now under the care of living with pain team. I’ve seen a physio and occupational therapist. I feel listened too and understood and finally getting some help to manage fibromyalgia and arthritis pain . Would highly recommend others to seek this option

Thoughts
I’m wondering if it’s a rational approach for Ataxians to ‘forget’ about drugs and medications for a while, and instead focus on the various therapies available, physio, speech, mindfulness , etc. and work out programs for ourselves (with the aid of consultants, researchers, etc), in order to manage

Treatment
Hi all, I’m new to the group even though I have been diagnosed with FM for around 15 years. I’ve come to a point where I’m in pain everyday, tired constantly and suffering from depression. I have always worked but the last three years I have had a lot of time off and now they are taking disciplinary

Chronic pain all over body
Since my last post I seem to have managed to regulate my body temperature a bit better I still get the odd day where I'm walking around in shorts and tshirt and yes it's been -1°c here the past few days but I'm getting there the only problem I'm having at the moment is chronic pain especially in my legs

Newbie here, tests/symptoms suggest PA or AAG
Hi everyone. My medical adventures have been ongoing for years but, like many others, I have struggled to find a definitive diagnosis for my symptoms. My spouse is the only person I've shared all this with. He's been by my side and supportive throughout numerous doctors shrugging their shoulders — and

Any thoughts welcomed re my Amiltriptyline experience
Hi- Newbie here! I have been taking 20mg of Amiltriptyline for around 3 months for tightness and pain in the jaw and temples. I think the condition has improved though I asked my GP for something to help until I could see an Oral specialist I still get that grogginess the next day, and the later

Steroid injections for OA knee
Hi, I'm 74 had PMR since 2017, lowest dose Ive been at is 4.5 mgs, currently at 7.5mgs. Been involved with local MSK service since August 2022 following injury left knee, diagnosed as oa with possible damage to cartilage. Running with Achilles tendonitis
Is it a bad idea to run with this injury? I did couch to 5k about 4 or 5 years ago. Progressed through 10k and even managed a half marathon. I’d had the odd calf, ankle problem that was usually put right by a bit of rest and then 2 years ago things got a lot worse. I had about 9 months of private
