Hubby had cabg suffered x2 ischaemic strokes while in theatre anyone else same?
My hubby had his cabg triple a month ago and suffered 2 strokes during his cabg procedure. All well from cabg however the strokes have obviously added in a new dynamic. He's receiving physio and ot, eating and drinking well and now out of L.Pool hosp and in a local hospital stroke ward receiving rehab

Well after working my ‘lungs off’the past few months, as I finally found my disease trigger and have been able to stay away from it’, my breathing has improved dramatically. After a chat with the specialist physio (worlds nicest physio) on Friday, he’s requesting permission from the consultants for me

Nasty fall and Lupus
hi all, I haven’t been writing on here for some time. On 6/7/23 I fell out of my disability stair lift from the top of our steep stairs at home! I flipped over, landed on my back and fell down the stairs and landed on the hallway floor on my head. I knocked myself out, fractured my skull, had a brain

Anyone had hand therapy for Chronic repetitive strain injury of the wrists?
My question is has anyone ever had hand therapy for chronic tendonitis or like a chronic repetitive strain injury in your wrist? And if so did it help with the pain? This is the only thing that I've not tried besides obviously I've not tried surgery and I asked my orthopedic hand dr about it and he doesn't

Post op full knee replacement questions
I had total knee replacement 11 days ago. What exercises should I be doing? Knee is v swollen, v painful! I'm trying to walk little bits throughout the day with crutches. Bending the knee is agony due to swelling.Seeing physio end of next week. They didn't give me any exercises when leaving hospital.

Help with "sick day rules"
Hello, It's been a while. I am struggling and need some dose guidance please. My normal dose is 10mg per day. I delivered Mark to hospital on Sunday for a planned Total Knee Replacement which took place on Monday morning. He's doing very well, no pain (typical of him lol) and he was discharged yesterday

Frustrated at endo's obsession with TSH when other results point in the opposite direction
As you would expect from the blood test results, symptoms of hypothyroidism have become significant, in particular extreme tiredness and brain fog, I've had to stop my

Ramipril Or Reflux - Unsure What Is Causing My Cough
Hi I had a heart attack followed by an angioplasty last month, and I am on the meds listed at the end of this message. In general terms I feel really good since the stent was fitted, and five weeks in I’m walking as much as I used to, but am still taking it easy in terms of strenuous activity. Have

Has anyone ever had RSD/CRPS and also gotten chronic tendonitis/tendinosis in both wrists?
I posted this in the pain concern but I figured someone here might have CRPS/RSD which is what I have. I have full body crps/rsd in all four limbs. Usually I take Tramadol and it controls my pain 100%. Thank God. However I injured myself in June doing physical therapy exercises in order to try to strengthen

Trip to the Physio; the verdict!!
First, thanks for all of the helpful responses this week. It’s funny how we can go for weeks without any running issues and then, out of the blue, chaos descends ( there may be a tiny measure of literary overstatement there, but hey, it’s Friday!) As expected, my physio found tight hamstrings, quads

In so much pain and feeling poorly
Hi folks, Last Friday while squeazing the edge of the mattress into the corner of a fitted sheet I had an excruciating shooting pain across the middle of my back. After that I could barely do anything without serious pain. Ever since, I've been falling asleep all day, had nausea, bloating & painful

Growing Old Disgracefully but Sensibly!
It has been an odd week! It started off on Monday with my coming up 2k short on my planned 15k run (note..this post will be bleat free I promise). Things came to a head this morning when Mrs BC and I ran into to a person I know (but not from running) and Mrs BC mentioned Monday and the conversation

Exercises and do they work
I have just started to get the leg pains especially when walking. I have posted before and had some lovely response. I just wanted to ask if exercises do actually help with pain. I have been doing the group of core, hip and pelvis exercises given to me by physio. Three weeks now and not missed one
