I recently emailed a psychiatric hospital to ask about the procedure for adhd diagnosis as well as borderline personality disorder. This was their reply...[i]"Our procedure for an ADHD diagnosis or Borderline personality Disorder is by conducting psychological assessment such as an IQ test.

Do any of you guys have any experience with Borderline Personality Disorder? My beautiful and loving daughter is suffering from this and when it is triggered she becomes verbally and physically aggressive.

I am a 58 year old woman who has and is struggling with this and cannot get help in my area, Hull. Can anyone help. This condition eats away at your soul. I have suffered with multiple additions (not drugs) at the same time. Feel paranoid and alone. Angie

mom asking this because one doctor diagnosed me with cognitive impairment and another doctor diagnose me with ADD and dissasoative disorder personality disorder. Is it normal to have all that when you have ADD ? Doctors never explained anything to me. I'm feeling lost!

Morning I just found out I am diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder in an unsettling way.

Recently I have self diagnosed myself with ADHD but I also see traits of borderline personality disorder.

I have personality disorder unspecified, schizoaffective disorder depressive type, anxiety, and probably other things. I feel so mentally awkward and deficient. I am still somewhat intelligent and can manage my mental illness to a good degree. I am on the right meds and get therapy.

My psychiatrist has recently raised the idea of reducing my medications for anxiety/depression/borderline personality disorder, and I’m absolutely petrified of returning to that dark place again. I’ve completed CBT and DBT and am still in weekly therapy.

I've probably had Borderline Personality Disorder my entire life, I get intensely angry/rageful, I split, see things in black and white and am very sensitive. When I was 39 I broke my back, and even after surgery I am still disabled. But I have been denied disability 2 times.

She has recently been told she has borderline personality disorder and Bipolar too. We are currently really worried as the medication that she has been given seems to be making her worse and she feels like there will be no end to her feeling bad.

FYI, have been clinically diagnosed with major depressive disorder, borderline personality disorder, severe adjustment anxiety and chronic cluster headaches. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

This man had narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder. I did not know any of these things at the start of the relationship; he treated me like a queen. And then, it was like something snapped, and his true self was revealed.

I'm convinced I have this but would like an actual diagnosis. Who do I go to? I don't think it's a gp? I'm in the UK.

My psychiatrist diagnosed me with recurrent depressive disorder, I also have borderline personality disorder, anxiety and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I'm taking antidepressants. I got a bit better at first, still lacking energy and will, but now I'm spiralling down again.

I have come to find out that Borderline Personality Disorder in men has a lot of overlap with ADHD and is a common misdiagnosis. I wish I would have known that years ago, but maybe I can save someone a bit of time with this post.

I've searched here on HealthUnlocked for a support community for Borderline Personality Disorder, and have been perplexed with why there isn't one. WHY??? Given the multitude of mental health issues you can find support for, it amazes me BPD isn't one of them.

I was diagnosed with the Bipolar 1 disorder, Borderline personality disorder, PTSD, GAD, severe social anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and a few other things. I hate that I feel this way all the time it's put a strain on my marriage and other relationships.
