Aorta enlargement
Hi all. Looking for an info for my aunt. She is mid 60s, on Peridopril for long term hypertension. She fainted December two years year ago and the dr referred to a cardiologist who thought she had had a bleed on the brain or had afib but later said they couldn’t find any evidence for either. They increased

Swapping blood pressure tablets from night to day
My dads cardiologist suggested swapping perindopril 8mg from day to night to combat dizziness. However he has found blood pressure has risen ( he now takes at 8pm with warfarin and cholesterol). He is wanting to change back to taking in the morning , thinking it’s better to take in an empty stomach rather

Indapamide
Have just started Indapamide. I already take losartan 50 mg. Have been prescribed 2.5mg, but at the moment am splitting the pill and taking half each day. Am finding this has already brought down my bp a fair bit, but for now I would rather not increase my side effects by going on the full 2.5mg. Does

Teva brand
I have read on some websites people complaining about the TEVA brand. I am with a new chemist and getting a lot of medication from this brand - Bisoprolol, atorvastatin and perindopril . Is it safe? And what problems ,if any, do people experience with the brand? Thank u.

Perindopril and low blood pressure
Hi all, I've not been on here for a while. For those who know me, I was living in Malta where I had 3 stents put in last July. Now happily back in the UK, and was up till March awaiting to see a specialist at the John Radcliffe in Oxford, my appointment was to determine whether I had micro vascular

Heaviness that’s better with walking
For past two months I have a heaviness on my chest that’s there every morning and gets better by the afternoon. It’s also better after exercise - by which I mean an hours walk with my dog. I feel my breathing improves and heaviness lifts after walking. Does this sound cardiac? Does this sound cardiac

Reducing Blood Pressure the Old Fashioned Way
I am a 77 year old male and was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation in 2016. I have been on Warfarin for the AF ever since, without problems. My GP is concerned about my blood pressure and I have tried various medical remedies; Perindopril, Bisoprolol and recently Amlodipine. Each had undesired side

Should I go into the pharmacy myself?
My husband ordered medication for both of us last week. Our daughter in law went into fetch it today. His won't be ready until tomorrow and they have no trace of mine. They told my DIL that I should ring the surgery. The are not taking calls. The pharmacy is constantly engaged. Would it be dangerous

Having to go off NDT after several years and back on levo only - how to explain it?
OK, so I went off NDT and back on T4 only a few weeks ago, after suffering bothersome symptoms for several months, such as profuse sweating (waking up every morning in a bed drenched in sweat), racing heart, high blood pressure (treated with perindopril 10 mg daily, GP wants to switch me to beta blockers

3rd Episode of AF, since ablation in July and thinking ? Triggers. Possibly Amlodipine?
Hi all, I was in persistent AF before my ablation. Had 2 episodes since the 10th July ablation in August and October, then last week 18th Feb. The first 2 I was anaemic, but not this time. Had recently started Amlodipine tho, for BP that had been increasingly rising - up to 150/160 over 90-110, when

Hi. I know this topic has been discussed before on here and that’s how I got some good tips. Thank you all. Yesterday after going through 20 quotes and comparison sites the cheapest I got was £277.00 for 2 weeks in Florida. I had a stroke and I am on Apixaban statins and perindopril and no Hospital

Perindopril
I usually take 4mg perindopril first thing 30 minutes before breakfast. I would like to lose weight and heard on radio 4 this morning that a good way was to have a last meal by 6pm and not eat until 12 noon the next day. It says on Perindopril take 30 - 60 minutes before food, so, should I delay taking

How do you diagnose Cushing's syndrom and how do you treat it (long post)?
In early December, I had a 24 h saliva test which revealed high cortisol levels throughout the day: 7.30 am 11.12 (ref 2.68-9.30) noon 3.50 (0.75-2.93) 5 pm 4.83 (0.36-1.88) midnight 1.21 (<0.94) I emailed these results to the doctor who has been responsible for my thyroid treatment in the past eight

Perindopril
Hi, I’ve been put on 2mg of perindopril a day, and have been taking it for 6 days now. I’ve been taking bp readings at home and the last couple of days it had gone down to 130/84 but today has gone up again. Any idea how long it takes to work properly? I have operation coming up which maybe postponed
