hypertension questions
I have had reason lately to wonder what affects blood pressure most: - salt - DGL (licorice root) - hypothyroidism - all of the above, or something else...? I am asking because I have been on blood pressure medication and beta-blockers for the past two years. Recently, my family doctor and I decided

Living with rhythm changes.
At present I am taking digoxin, sotalol,

My Story - skip to bottom for AF question
Hi Everyone I have just found this site and gained some useful information. My first conclusion is that no two cases are the same. I complained about my heart feeling funny over 5 years ago to my Dr who sent me for an ECG - result no problems. The year before I had been put on blood pressure pills

Alternate day statin medication
First, a brief history. I am 68 years young. I have been taking Amlodopine to treat hypertension for some years, my blood pressure, which I monitor at home remains at an acceptable level. Last June I experienced a 'pins and needles' sensation for 30 seconds or so down my left side in the midst of a blinding

A New - Old Drug That Is Making a Major Difference for Me
I have long been convinced that there are nuggets of gold buried in the massive accumulation of 40 years of research that has built up since Ldopa took the stage. Common sense tells me that it is not possible for such a huge amount of data spread over several disciplines to build up without overlooking

newbie - both asthma and this website
Hi all, I have just been more or less diagnosed with asthma at the grand old age of 36. My nurse says, we wont say it is right now until we are sure the treatment works but as I am feeling a good bit better today than I was yesterday I think it's fair to say it's working. I have had a cough non-stop
