Swapping blood pressure tablets from night to day

My dads cardiologist suggested swapping perindopril 8mg from day to night to combat dizziness. However he has found blood pressure has risen ( he now takes at 8pm with warfarin and cholesterol). He is wanting to change back to taking in the morning , thinking it’s better to take in an empty stomach rather than 2 hours after dinner. What would be the best way to do this? Take 4mg at night and 4mg morning for the first day otherwise it’s 18 hours gap. Thanks

Thanks. Is it ok then to take the perindopril with other meds at 8pm (warfarin and atorvastatin) two hours after dinner and just before a bowl of porridge. He is having more readings around the 170/60 mark. But if the drs add more medications he drops low. He is 80 and has a metal heart valve and his bp does fluctuate from 120/170 daily.

As he suggested it but didn't insist then swap back but tell him why.

you know, your Insight may have helped me With something I had overlooked(Don't weAll)I suffers sometimes from this dizzinessIf I rise and bend repeatedly, And guess what I'm on BP medicationFor my heart condition.I'm going to try"Manoeuvring the dose times"To something along the lines of what you suggest. My condition has only recentlyReached a very good pointAs before I was taking the medicationOn an empty stomach first thing which seem to work well for me,The main side-effect being that discussed.Everything you said makes perfect sense,I will give it ago over a couple of weeks period.Sorry for all the incorrect capitals/Spacing it's the Google dictate thingDoes it automatically.

Good luck. It’s good to share any advice from cardiologists. It may help someone.
