Safe to take vitamin D with hydroxycarbamide?
Does anyone know if it's okay to take vitamin D supplement with hydroxycarbamide? I also take perindopril, clopidogrel and an atorvastatin. Just interested in the results from the calcifediol research with covid. Thought it might be worth taking a vit D supplement while im waiting for vaccine and wondered

Adverse reaction to 2nd medication Lercanipidine
Only took this for 2 days when started getting indigestion and acid reflux. Over the following week it got worse and on Wednesday/Thursday I woke with awful chest pain that travelled to my throat. My heart was pounding in my ears and I thought I was having a heart attack. My partner calmed me and after

Drugs pits stent
Had stents done yesterday. Now given Perindopril (used prior to stents) Bisoprodol Fumerate, Trangina XL (used Momomax XL prior to stent) concerned they will lower blood pressure too much as prior to stent BP was 125/75 or slightly less. Was surprised that nitrates are continued too. Think it is OTT

Hello everyone, I'm hoping to get some advice from anyone who has had similar experiences to my own with regards to my many health issues. Some background as follows.. I have inherited Cardiomyopathy which was controlled well by drugs for the last 15 or so years. Back in 2018 my condition had worsened

Coming off BP tablets
For the past 10 years or so, I have been prescribed various medications for hypertension, with varying degrees of success. Most recently I was taking 100mg Losartan and 2.5mg Indapamide. Just over two years ago, I felt a large mass in my abdomen, which was found to be a simple large renal cyst. Last

Took larger dose of Perindopril
I was taking 4mg of Perindopril in the morning and 2mg in evening. My doctor upped the dose to 8mg to be taken in morning. This morning when I started the higher dose I mistakenly took 12mg. Will this be ok and just work through my body?

Anxiety v cardiac issue?
For the last 5 years I have had episodes where I have thought I have had a cardiac issue and it turned out I had not. These usually come after an argument or stressful episode where I have several weeks of aches in chest area, heaviness on chest and higher than normal heart rate. Each time I have either

Beta blockers-how long to stay on them?
I developed tachycardia 18 months ago after an immunosuppressant treatment . A GP put me on a beta blocker. A month later another GP took me off the beta blocker and I got bad withdrawal symptoms- palpitations, high heart rate etc. I saw a cardiologist privately who changed the beta blocker from propanalol

Would changing to Indapamide slow release help my dizzy spells? And would NICE let me have it?
During the recent heatwave I was starting to get dizzy spells and discovered my BP dropped to 82/47 in late morning and early afternoon. I take my BP meds at 8am, so it was just about when they peak in the bloodsteam. I suspected dehydration. However, drinking more fluid didn't help. It just meant I

help needed with a deep hacking phlegmy cough.
I have had this deep hacking cough for 18 months. In all seasons, indoors and outdoors. Often I will bring up thick phlegm. It sounds like a smokers cough and I do not smoke and live in a smoke-free environment. I also wheeze. I have Asthma so my RT increased my Fluticasone puffer to 2 puffs 2 x

Magnesium supplements causing low blood pressure?
Has anyone heard of magnesium supplements lowering Blood Pressure? I am on BP medication - Lisinopril, Indapamide, Pravastatin - as well as AF meds - Flecainide, Bisoprolol, Apixaban. The BP is pretty well controlled though can shoot up when I am stressed. I can also go low when I have General Anaesthetics

Fluid in knees and legs
Does anyone suffer from really excessive fluid around and underneath the knees - I am on thyroxine plume Indapamide for high blood pressure. There is a tight feeling also around ankles - pain from my knees shoots in upper legs. Chemist suggested gout as I have shoulder pain as well but I’m very unsure
