Please can someone tell me what I should be asking?
After a brief stint in hospital this week and no answers as yet, I thought I’d do a bit of research of my own. I have been part of healthunlocked before but not on this platform. I am Hypothyroide 100g thyroxine a day, my T4/3 is mid range although my TSH of .003 ( which most doctors will have you believe

Perindopril
My husband has seen consultant today following his cardioversion. As he has a mechanical heart valve he has been put on to perindopril 2mg to increase to 4mg if no side effects occur. Anyone else been prescribed this drug?

Thiazide Diuretics
Hello. I discovered I have high blood pressure in March this year. I tried Ramipril 2.5mg but I noticed tinnitus developing, plus it wasn’t effective so I changed to amlodipine 5mg, not effective, increased dose to 10mg, ankles started swelling plus palpitations, plus not hugely effective, so switched

Update on husband with severe LVSD
So an update on hubby who had Severe LVSD following racing heart rate caused by virus?! You may remember I posted on here almost frantic at my husbands recent heart failure diagnosis at 49, who was otherwise fit and healthy . I was scared and anxious about the future and didn’t know how stable he would

What is your experience with Perindopril and AF?
I was diagnosed with AF in 2015 and prescribed Warfarin 2mg daily which maintains my INR in the 2-3 target range. I have never had any incident or effect caused by AF. I have been taking Perindopril 4 mg for high blood pressure since 2000 due to stress at work and have continued since I retired in 2008

Swollen Hands and Legs - High Blood Pressure and AF
From June 2015 to October 2017 (30 months) I was on a daily combination of Perindopril 4mg, Bisoprolol 1.25mg and Warfarin 2mg to treat high blood pressure and AF. Last October 2017 my hands and legs suddenly swelled up and I found it very difficult to get up from a normal chair or to move around. I

Signatures
I am starting to think that it would be extremely useful if people had "signatures" that could appear at the end of posts (less important on rep[lies). These could give the heart condition and the meds they are currently on. For instance mine would say:- awaiting quadruple bypass - isosorbide mononitrate

8 Months On from Positive GCA Biopsy
40mg pred for 4 weeks. 30mg for 1 week. then down to 20mg. 3 unsuccessful tapers to 15mg dropping 2.50mg/ fortnight. Back to 20mg each time. Now holding at 15mg for a month. Recent appointment with Rhummy was better than expected after giving up on his reduction plan which would have meant down to

Switching from Levo to Armour
I've been on 50 mcg of Levo for 8 years. My TSH went from .887 mcIU/mL to 1.480, 0.350, 1.290, 2.930, 2.020 to 4.050. This was from 2013-December 2017). TSH doubled from 2015-2017, then doubled again in less than 1 month!! My antibodies are in normal range. My potassium has been low 3.30, (the highest

Levothyroxine and other medications
I've been prescribed Levothyroxine for approx. 10 years with no apparent side effects, however I take perindopril and amlodipine at the same time. My question is, should I be taking these medications separately, at different times? My new GP is I'm sorry to say absolutely useless in the communication

fluctuating blood pressure
My GP told me to keep an eye on my b/p, but not to get obsessive - she specifically said don't test more than once a day, better to do only 4x per week.. I had the feeling some people end up with so much data that they see minor fluctuations and blow them up into major worries... anyway, I did it the

Weird Feeling
I hope someone here has an explanation for me. My GP doesn't know what it is either. I take perindopril and apixaban. My HR is very irregular 24 hrs but without measuring I wouldn't notice. My energy levels have come down a lot but otherwise I can't complain. I get this weird Feeling now and then . Difficult
