I hope someone here has an explanation for me. My GP doesn't know what it is either. I take perindopril and apixaban. My HR is very irregular 24 hrs but without measuring I wouldn't notice. My energy levels have come down a lot but otherwise I can't complain. I get this weird Feeling now and then . Difficult to explain it. It's like being very frightened but without the fright. My HR is no higher than 75 when this happens. My HR is goes from 40/45 at night to 150 sometimes, average about 65 . I would be grateful for someone to be able to give an explanation please.

Weird Feeling
Hi Emsling, read your question, I am not a medical person. But could it be a panick Attack? I have heard people say this sort of thing happening to them before.
You have AF? This will happen . Even people with asymptomatic permanent AF can have events I am told.
Hi emsling
I have permanent AF and I occasionally get that feeling a feeling of doom and gloom as others on here have described it. It is as if something bad is going to happen, it always passes fairly quickly with me. When this happens I am aware that my heartrate is bouncing around but settles eventually.

Thank you so much for your replies. At least I know now it's nothing too serious. It is extraordinary that AF does play havoc with feelings we are not conscious of. Would really like to know why there is this connection.
Hi Emsling - the feelings of anxiety, doom and panicked are all caused by the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) which is a complicated system of areas of the brain, lymph glands and ganglia throughout the body which act as your alarm system - often known as fight or flight.
It’s is alerting you to the fact there is something wrong. But everything misbehaves and sometimes this goes wrong and is either under or over sensitive The ANS controls all none thinking functions in the body such as Heart Rate, temperature, immune system and digestion but interestingly, not breathing, although it can make us gasp if you put your face in cold water.
This is why controlling your breathing, slow, square breathing - slowing your breathing in a very controlled way - will help. Lots of demos of this all over the internet and is used in Mindfulness, Meditation, Yoga, Stress Therapy and relaxation exercises.
Try it - it can really help.
I am on flecainide, cardicor (beta blocker) and xarelto (anti coag) - i am in NSR - i had 'weird' feelings that i would describe in the same way you have described yours and these went away very quickly when I started taking magnesium and coenzyme Q10.
