A good side effect to blood pressure medication.... 🙂
I was recently found to have had an increase in my blood pressure, despite already taking Ramipril which had seemed to be doing a good job. So I’ve been prescribed an additional BP control medication, Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker. There are various negative side effects, ankle swelling being

What is your experience with Perindopril and AF?
I was diagnosed with AF in 2015 and prescribed Warfarin 2mg daily which maintains my INR in the 2-3 target range. I have never had any incident or effect caused by AF. I have been taking Perindopril 4 mg for high blood pressure since 2000 due to stress at work and have continued since I retired in 2008

Cardioversion recovery?
My husband had a cardioversion (his 4th) on Wednesday; it failed. He's feeling very tired and he says his chest feels a bit sore, like after heavy exercise. How long after your cardioversion, failed or successful, did you feel the effects of the procedure? He was started on Amlodipine after the procedure

Calcium Channel Blockers
Does anyone know if you have side effects from amlodipine (I had awful breathlessness) whether you would have the same problem if you tried another type of CCB. They have put me on Ramipril now, but as I’m 61 I wondered if this would be as effective. Also the dreaded cough is starting. Thanks for

I'm currently having problems with fluid retention which I believe to be a result of taking amlodipine, does anyone else take a replacement for this ?

Amlodipine not working
Hi, 58 yr old, fit active and a good weight. Diagnosed with HBP 5 nth ago and have been taking amlodipine 10 mg since. I have a home blood pressure monitor, which I assume is pretty accurate, however my readings are still quite high after initially they seemed to come down. Has anyone else experienced

Sharp pains in head
Am not usually a headachey sort of person although have been getting a few lately. Last night I experienced two very sharp pains to the right hand side of my head, rather like someone hammering a nail in. I was also woken up with a sharp pain in the early hours of this morning. I take Pradaxa and Felodipine

Total Coronary Occlusion
I went to my GP with chest pain that I had been suffering from for a few months. The pain was on the right side of my chest and apart from one incident where it REALLY hurt, mostly it started in both sides of my jaw, then spread to both armpits and finally felt like I had just smoked too much. It would
