Does pepcid AC make RLS worse? Almost 38 weeks pregnant having horrible acid reflux. Intestines feel like they're on fire for hours leading to a giant throw up. Pepcid really helps but it makes my rls sooo bad which i can't afford because I only sleep 20-30 mins a day on a good day bc of my insomnia + rls + pregnancy related itching.

It is not known to make RLS worse. You might want to switch to gaviscon advance. Be sure to take it 2 hours apart from iron.

I doubt it's the pepcid AC. Pregnancy is a known trigger for severe RLS.Ensure your serum ferritin is above 200ųg/L and take iron supplements every OTHER day, as it raises levels much faster than daily supplements.

I think Pepcid is less effective than most PPIs for bad stomach acid, at least for some people. While PPIs are known to exacerbate RLS for most, the one that is mentioned as least likely to do so is Esomeprazole (Nexium). I get some relief from Gaviscon Advance (as Sue mentions), but it doesn't last very long for me.

Acit reflux is actually caused by the ingestion of too much carbohydrate which needs more syomach acid to metabolise. You can probably reduce it by reducing carb intake and taking a tablespoonful of apple cider vinegar diluted in water before meals.
