Hi I've never joined a forum before, but I'm newly diagnosed with crohns and colitis and have a million 'is this normal' kind of questions. About me...I was taken to hospital in the early hours of the morning after a week of tummy upset and agony. I was passing blood and mucus and my tummy was distended

He just said it was my diverticulier disease. Was diagnosed with it many years ago, however it spread throughout my whole colon

New here, please be gentle
I was diagnosed last year and put on Asacol. Was fine (ish) until Nov when they changed meds to salofalk crystals. Turned me into a zombie! Couldn't eat, drink, sleep and had no idea where I was. Changed back to Asacol and to cut a long story short, ended up in hospital to discover it was the med's that

New girl in town.
Hello everyone. My name is Nicola, Im 23 years old and I was diagnosed with Crohns disease when I was 19. It took almost 5 years to get a diagnosis so it was soon decided that surgery was my best option due to extensive scar tissue so I had a laparoscopic hemicolectomy just 6 months later at the age

Success with Azathiaprin
Hi guys , hope you are all as well as possible. Just to let you all know after having a blood transfusion in 2013 and an iron transfusion, I was put on Pentasa 500mg 2 x twice daily. It helped for a while, but as I became use to the medication, the bleeding started all over again, which is very distressing

Endo & UC
Hello all! I have a question! Has anyone ever been misdiagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis or an IBD, when really it could be an extent of their Endo sneaking into the bowel? Around 2 and a half years ago I started getting rectal bleeding, painful cramps and abdominal pain, after an emergency sigmoidoscopy

Not diagnosed as Lupas, but I'd appreciate your opinions please...
My wife has had auto-immune problems since she was in her early 20's. She's 37 now, and has had Pluracy, Ulcarative Colitis (although they call it indeterminate colitis as she has symptoms that are more similar to Chrones), Thyroid Problems ('til it was removed!), Antiphos' Lipid syndrome, Arthritis
