Hi everyone, My Dad (77) diagnosed in January w/ stage 4 PC, mets to L5 spine. PET scan showed no other spots elsewhere. PSA was 19 at time of diagnosis, Gleason 10. BRCA negative. PSA is now at 0.2 since starting hormone therapy. Feeling good, no pain. Still works (owns his own company). Started

My experience with Docetaxel

Can you do too much exercise?
I wonder if any one else has the same experience as me. We all know how important exercise is for neurological conditions so I followed the conditions of a randomised American clinical trial comparing aerobic training with balance training. The participants spent 30 minutes five times a week for four

Bonita219 we hardly knew ya, a visit with the angel of death
We all know that there will be an end to our lives. Mostly we push it out of our day to day and ignore it. For most people age and increasing organ damage brings pain and a greater awareness of that long-hidden reality. I got a letter recently from a nurse with a note that said Bonita has passed.

Persistent Afib - next stop Amiodorone
Following a short-lived success with cardioversion, my EP has prescribed Amiodarone 200mg daily. So not a massive dose. The waiting list for ablation is long, so this is a stop gap. And a lot of the drugs prescribed for paroxysmal AF are not much help for persistent AF - at least not as an antiarythmic

Stopping Firmagon if castration resistant
The cocktail of painkillers plus Radium 223 is making me very tired at the moment. This may seem like a daft question but what is the position with continuing or stopping Firmagon when you're castration resistant? Is its purpose to control the spread of testosterone that would otherwise make the cancer
