Advice about mannitol
I started mannitol 5mg twice a day. I felt I was moving about a lot more easily. But I had to give it up because it seemed to be giving me diarrhea. Diarrhea is a perennnial problem for me. It was partly solved by taking LDN but I had to give that up when I had a knee replacement. I feel I can't do mannitol

KETAMINE STILLS PARKINSON'S
Neuroscientist Torsten Falk's research indicates that the anesthetic ketamine eases dyskinesia in rodents and also in five Parkinson's patients who were already taking it for pain relief. Repurposing ketamine for dyskinesia could get it to patients quicker. It's already been safety tested at higher doses

How the Keto Diet Impacts Gut Health And The Microbiome
Now, we started out talking about the keto diet and went down a little bit of a gut health rabbit hole. So how are they connected? It appears that the ketogenic diet has a beneficial impact on gut health and the microbiome. The following are three studies showing the beneficial changes that occur to

Carbidopa levodopa dosage
Hi all, my husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s about 3 months ago. He has a right hand tremor and was started on one pill and is now taking 4 carbidopa levodopa pills per day. We have seen no improvement in the tremor and at times, he feels it’s worse. Could anyone comment on their experience

Tremors getting worse. Feels like a runaway train with no brakes.
I take carbidopa-levodopa 25-250 mgs. 3 tabs 3 times daily and Lexapro 5mg. One tab daily. My PD tremors are getting worse. It is slowly taking my life away,at 61 years old and around 10 years since diagnosed. Any advice would be appreciated.

Vinpocetine
I can't remember who commented about Vinpocetine, but thank you to whoever it was. This is purely anecdotal on my part, but I think it has enhanced blood flow to my brain and other extremities. My hands and feet are no longer cold all the time and I feel better in general. Here's some info from Simon

Cochran Regimen
Has anyone ever heard of the Tim Cochran foundation? He seems to have been rather successful in combating Parkinson's Disease and helping people with it but I can find so little on it online and to my surprise I couldn't find anything on here. I was put to researching this by a friend who says her son

[Off-topic] Coffee or tea? The answer might be in your genes
I glanced at this article earlier and would probably have ignored it. Until I saw a word which is so very specifically important in the context of thyroid! It just might be slightly interesting! [i]

Rayos and Plaquenil and burning feet
I was wondering if anyone is on rayos and or plaquenil and experiencing sore and burning feet? My feet are painful to walk on them and they burn almost all the time. I am not diabetic and the foot dr. can't find anything wrong. That just leaves medication as being the problem. I have been on both of

Mannitol and bacteria
Here is another piece on mannitol selectively growing bacteria. My husbands faeces analysis showed a big imbalance of aerobic bacteria over anaerobic with large numbers of corynebacterium and streptococcus. Has anyone else who has been taking mannitol had a faeces analysis for bacteria? I would be interested

Rigidity Relief - Is it Possible?
Does anyone have a good remedy for severe rigidity? I’m not on pharmaceuticals yet (trying to hold off as long as possible) and lately the pain and discomfort from leg and arm rigidity is off the charts. I’ve tried CBD, Magnesium capsules and Magnesium oil, with no benefit. Is there anything else you

Long term use of Macuna Pruriens
Are there any negative side effects in using Macuna Pruriens, such as the side effects of long term use of Carbidopa or Sinemet? Nasal Insulin and Parkinson's - more information.
Here is more on what I was talking about. Sorry to take so long to get back - I have been having computer and phone issues for days, it seems, and working two jobs. This is more than just promising, for me it is working. I haven't tried the liraglutide (GLP - 1 peptide) yet but I take that so as soon
