Defeated and frustrated
Tired of questioning my
parenting
skills. Tired of the looks from teachers and other parents. Tired of being embarrassed in public. Tired of the doctor appointments, med checks, counseling appointments, trying new things that don't work, consequences that don't work.

What parenting / pregnancy books are you reading / have read and you would recommend?
I am pregnant for the first time and i work from morning until evening, including on Saturdays, i don't have time for any parentcraft classes nor the money because we are planning to buy our own house, so we are on a budget. Have you read any books that helped you and you would really recommend?

I brought his psychological evaluation since he already has one but all I received was a flyer to go to a "
Parenting
a Child with ADHD" class which is booked until November. Even though I asked to seek behavioral therapy and asked if I need more resources than this then what?

Advice to get my 4 year old diagnosed with ADHD
They sent us for 11 weeks of
parenting
classes called the Incredible years program. We went and the methods are not helping. We get calls from the school to come pick him up because of his uncontrollable behavior. We are now waiting to get him into Parent-Child Interaction Therapy.

Help for my kids
I have been trying to get my
parenting
plan with my ex modified since January. My children suffer from anxiety, panic disorder, separation anxiety. The court wouldn’t hear my testimony and is forcing me to send my kids to him for 5 weeks.

ADHD 11 year old daughter - need to start meds
My previous
parenting
techniques don't work - she gets hell bent on getting right up into my face and is taller than me and strong - it takes both me and her dad to get her into her room for time out and then she literally screams over and over or bashes the door.

I’m a Newbie
Husband and I were ready to get divorced, we were successfully co-
parenting
, and my life was stable. After training in my new career, I was assigned to a manager. She was known to be very critical, and she immediately bombarded me with negative feedback.

From darkness to light. Just want to share my experience over the last 6+ months.
I have spent hours studying and ultimately initiated several popular
parenting
techniques: 'Kadzin:
parenting
the defiant child', and Total Transformation. While both have sound basis in logic and science neither worked for us/her.

The positive aspects of parenting your child with a learning disability....
I have a new paper published in the journal of applied research in intellectual disabilities about how parents describe the positive aspects of
parenting
their child with intellectual disabilities.

Parenting with a brain injury - any advice for a sleep deprived new mum?
I expected it to be tough of course, but I don’t think anything can prepare you for just how much
parenting
demands of you.

Parenting with Epilepsy?
Hi! Does anyone have some insight on adopting a child when I have seizures in the evening and/or when I go to sleep/wake up that medicine can't control? I have complex partial seizures (Epilepsy), and an anxiety disorder. My husband has Bipolar.

Hopelessness
It steals everything - my physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health, my way of
parenting
.. I can't be the parent that my dad was and it sucks because I want my son to know everything is going to be okay when hard times hit, but I just can't give what I dont have - hope.

How do you deal with
parenting
when things are this bad? She’s having a new friend and her family over in a few hours and I’m so panicked about it I’m crying uncontrollably in my room.

New to parenting a child with ADHD and needing some advice and guidance
I recently took guardianship of my nephew and have never had any experience
parenting
a child with ADHD. My 2 children have zero disabilities. I am familiar with the disorder but not extremely knowledgeable.

Free Parent Training!!

parenting
practice isn’t ADHD specific, but does greatly benefit parents of children with ADHD (or not.)
