I’ve been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis and I don’t know what the future will be like

Hi Chronic Pancreatitis Support Group! We wanted to highlight an opportunity from Ionis for those who have been diagnosed with severely high triglycerides (500 mg or greater), with or without pancreatitis.

I was admitted into hospital last year in November for 2 weeks due to pancreatitis. Then again in February this year for a week again due to pancreatitis. I've been discharged home and in the past 3 weeks I've had three mini flare ups at home with chronic pain and vomiting!

My mother was put on the list for a liver transplant and everything was looking good until recently, she had developed pancreatitis which they say is fatal if she were to transplant her while she has pancreatitis.

My beautiful mum was admitted to ICU on Thursday with severe acute pancreatitis. She has been in an induced coma on a ventilator since Saturday. It breaks my heart seeing her like this and I’m emotionally drained from the worry and anxiety of the unknown.

I would like to ask if anyone has mild chronic pancreatitis? My Dr does not really say much about it other than take creon, and low fat diet, no red meat, no alcohol, Dr says its unspecified to why I have it I also have mild gastroparesis, thanks in advance

I was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis a couple years ago. I was started on PERT. Just recently, last month my GI doctor told me to get my hemoglobin A1C checked and it was in diabetic range. My GI doctor recommended to see an endocrinologist who has started insulin therapy.

They are thinking autoimmune pancreatitis. Waiting on more results. However can I ask other people. Has pancreatitis ever caused anyone neuropathic pain in surprising places? Possibly due to malnutrition. Many thanks

Hi all, Just a little further info… apparently I’ve found the symptoms I explained a relief can be a cause of Pancreatitis from taking interferon, therefore has anyone found this to be a factor? Apparently it’s rare but can happen…

I’m a young 26 year that first experienced my first pancreatitis at 16.

He said their's a 1 in 20 chance of suffering with pancreatitis after. Not sure what to do !!! Has anyone else had this problem.Thank you all 😊
