GTN Spray
Just wondering of anyone else has been prescribed GTN spray for chest pain with AFib/Arrhythmias. Called my surgery as the Amiodarone dose [100mg] daily is 'wearing off' - sometimes late afternoon and into evening. Episodes last from minutes up to 7 hours or so and as they get more prolonged the chest

Newly diagnosed with Paroxysmal A. Fib
I have had ventricular ectopics for many years (i am now 75) and in more recent years have added SVTs. They have become much worse over last 2 years and Bisoprolol makes no difference. I had a 14 day monitor and PAF was picked up generally lasting only a few minutes. The cardiologist suggested switching

Echo results
I am still waiting for the results of my echocardiogram. Is the reason for AFib always apparent after this as I hope I won’t just be told that I have it and not the reason why, which has been the case so far, after an ECG and a 24 hour ECG ? Thank you.

The worst month ever.
I've been on peg since January this year. I started on 45mcg and everything was fine. Then in his infinite wisdom the haemotologist decided to double the dose. My breathing was very slowly getting worse, to the point that in early August I told him about this to which he replied "oh I don't think that's

Does anyone have experience of how Large Vessel Vasculitis (GCA /TA) may be affected by a long haul flight?
I’ve never experienced a long haul flight and, as we prefer to drive when we holiday abroad, I haven’t been on a plane for 15 years but I am booked to go to S Korea next week to visit my granddaughter who is currently teaching in Seoul. In August I was diagnosed with Large Vessel Vasculitis and the consultant

amiadrone
For those of you with hypothyroidism and heart disease, have any of you been advised to or taken amiadrone and warfarin prior to cardioversion to increase likelihood of staying in sinus rhythm? There are so many contraindications for me personally due to other meds and comorbidities.

warfarin and chia seeds
Hi I self test my INR. I want to introduce chia seeds as part of my daily diet. I know they can interact with anticoagulants. I take Warfarin. Has anybody had any experience with warfarin and chia. it says on the net it doesnt mean no. But exercise caution. Presumably, it could raise my INR so

Now Dr. Mandrola not only likes, but loves Pulse Field Ablation (PFA).
Dr. John Mandrola previously had reservations about Pulse Field Ablation being a breakthrough in treating afib. Npw that he has personally seen it in action, he has changed his mind. From his Substack 11/22 "Now I have used PFA. And. It is somewhat amazing. It ablates cardiac tissue quickly and

Where Is Data Stored for Wellue's ECG Traces?
I have had a Wellue ECG device for a few days -- the kind that can record heartbeats for up to 24 hours. When I review one of these recordings, I can immediately see the ECG tracings. The file with these tracings can be hundreds of screens long, one screen per minute of recording time. You can advance

Biologics - when/did you move up to them?
Trying to get a measure of the stages and various meds that treat lupus, and wondering if/when anyone was moved up to biologics like Belimumab and Rituximab. I understand lupus is treated softly softly, as in mildest immune suppressants first and gradually move up the ladder, and biologics are stronger

angiogram update
Hi all, Just a quick update for anyone that is interested, I went for the cardiac angiogram on Friday and apart from a few bruises and a rash, probably a reaction to the contrast dye, I seem to be okay, however no intervention was carried out because the findings didn’t correlate with the CT angiogram

Help finding cardiologist - Bradycardia - West Herts NHS Trust (Will travel for good private Consultant)
Long story short..finally got GP to look at low bp (been low for 20 years but..) I asked for a different GP after being told time and time again 'some people have low heart rate!!). I've know somethings been wrong over past 18months. Electrocardiogram showed 'slow heart' and bp drop lying to to standing
