Long story short..finally got GP to look at low bp (been low for 20 years but..) I asked for a different GP after being told time and time again 'some people have low heart rate!!). I've know somethings been wrong over past 18months. Electrocardiogram showed 'slow heart' and bp drop lying to to standing from 94 to 84. Heart rate 50 bpm. GP referred me to cardiologist - 6 week wait and even then may get referred back to local surgery after the 'review'. I am prepared to pay for a private cardiologist but you can't get the names from surgery nowadays - all E Consult stuff.
I understand there are two types of cardiologist : those who do interventions like stents, new valves etc. And those who do 'heart disease'.
I would guess I need the second type?
Does anyone know a good cardiologist who 'gets' B12 /thyroid issues?
Is heart disease inevitable with thyroid/B12 def??
I must admit to being rather down about this as felt fobbed off by my normal GP for ages and battled for ages to get B12 re-instated albeit only 1 shot per 3 months.
Any info from you knowledgeable lot much appreciated (-;
