Gallbladder Op and AF
Hi All I had my gallbladder removed in hospital yesterday and couldn't have been looked after better. The staff were all amazingly kind and caring, someone must have come to see me about every 15 minutes and I had umpteen cups of tea. It was only arranged last week and I had the appointment because someone

My Jeff home on hospice
They kept him on his current
pain

regimen, plus added a Fentanyl patch and Lorazepam. We are grateful beyond measure that Jeff’s pain appears totally managed. As it is believed that Jeff is transitioning, hospice will come every day to ensure his needs are met.

Growth inhibitory effect of doxazosin on prostate and bladder cancer cells. Is the serotonin receptor pathway involved?
Doxazosin
, an alpha1-adrenoceptor antagonist, is used for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and hypertension. Alpha-adrenoceptor antagonists also inhibit growth and induce apoptosis in malignant prostatic cells. The apoptotic activity is independent of their capacity to antagonize

Focal Nodular Hyperplasia
They are intermittently symptomatic with no real pattern (upper right quadrant
pain
and gastric symptoms). My consultant has advised conservative
management
and not said any more than that. I’ve been taken off oestrogen containing medication and have decided to go caffeine free.

So angry at this RA thing?
Does anyone else get angry at this RA disease? I’m finding myself getting so very angry at things, like the injection I have to have every week that makes me tired, but if I don’t have it I’m tired anyway but get swollen parts and pain. At the fact that my little granddaughter gets poorly and I can’t

Newly diagnosed.
My consultant is referring me for a
pain
management
programme but have been told that the programme is 9-4, Monday to Thursday, 3 weeks in a row. I have absolutely no idea how I am physically going to be able to cope with this. Has anybody had similar experiences? How have you coped?

What painkillers to use lovely people?
Hello you lot, me again, I’ve done my back in knocking up cement on Saturday, lower back, what painkillers do you guys use and is it ok to use ibuprofen with Af? I’m using cocodomol at the minute but it’s not quite doing the trick. Hope you’ve all had a better weekend than me 🤣.

Visanne hormone treatment
Hi I have been recommended Visanne by my gynecologist, which she said may help to shrink an endometrimoa on my left ovary (around 3.5cm), and help with
pain
management
. I wonder if anyone here has any experience with this pill, and if there is anything I should be aware of before I start.
