Can I use a Kardia?
Having seen a number of references to Kardia I looked at the website and found that they are not recommended for someone with a
Pacemaker
. As my readings with a cuff fluctuate wildly when in AF it would be interesting to get the Kardia results....Does anyone know why its a nono?

SVT
Hi, I suffer from frequent Episodes of SVT & on occasions a resting heart rate as low as 34 bpm, what is the likelihood of being fitted with a
pacemaker
? I'm feeling impatient waiting for results etc.

Swollen glands...why?
Pacemaker
- I'm thinking it may be nerve damage and lowered immune system. Imaging suggest no lymphoma. ENT, neurologist, maxilo facial and facial pain specialists cannot explain. Suggestions?

Young Adult with Cardiac Arrest
I did receive a
pacemaker
on Sept 24th. I had a complete halt to my heart beating for 24 seconds after a 3.5 second pause. It still is scary. I have lost some friendships due to the mental (PTSD) side of getting through what happened.

One year post ablation today!!
I’ve have had one episode of AF lasting 20 seconds (according to my
pacemaker
recordings) in that time. Yes I’ve still had ectopics and bad runs of them at times but the flutters have gone!!! I feel so much better compared to what I was like before.

Hello, and my Dad
Morning everyone I've joined this group as my Dad has some ongoing heart problems, and it's for support and a bit of guidance really :) He's 77 and had a
pacemaker
fitted a couple of years ago - it's been brilliant and I'm eternally grateful for all the clever people who helped make him better.

EPILEPSY OR HEART
Well I was admitted immediately onto the cardiac ward as an emergency where I was told a
pacemaker
was necessary and would be fitted within two days.

Another Question about DBS
However, I have a
pacemaker
already and am wondering if that would disqualify me as a candidate. Has anyone ever heard anything about this? I plan to ask my MDS, but I don’t see him again until next January.

Then came the
Pacemaker
which I really didnt want then came av node ablation which I was really loath to admit I needed but the 15 weeks I waited for that were the longest in my life. I have not really improved much since then.

Advice please re af
If I just stay as I am and put up with af will it shorten my life much or should I have the av node ablation and be
pacemaker
dependent. Would that slow me down more or lengthen my life. ??? Any advice or experiences please.

Holiday approach
Has anyone had a
pacemaker
fitter and how long is it before you can go abroad for a holiday? How long is it before you can go the gym again?

Problems with small arteries
I have
pacemaker
fitted for irregular heartbeat, although reading the recent BHF magazine my symptoms fit perfectly for problems with the small arteries. I have been taken to A&E where they confirm no heart attack.

ECG lesson part 2
As I said previously, the heart has a natural
pacemaker
which sends signals through the heart in an ordered sequence to initiate a cardiac cycle/heart beat. This occurs from top to bottom.

Pacemaker
Was told I need a
pacemaker
for bradycardia with a few extensive pauses. Cardiologist told me he couldn't schedule the procedure until the end of May. Have others experienced such a lengthy delay? Feel as though there's a chance I could pass out at any time without the
pacemaker
.

Low heart rate 2 months after Pacemaker and AV node ablation
[Fast irregular heart rate} Last December I got a
pacemaker
and my AV node was destroyed so I am dependent on a
pacemaker
. My resting hearrate settled at about 70 after the
pacemaker
.

Mum suffered Brain Hypoxia 4 days ago. I feel So Lost And Confused
So this first consultant said that hopefully we can get your mum to a more stronger state so in the long run we can fit her a
pacemaker
to help reduce the chance of a cardiac event happening again the future.

Week 6 - the AV node ablate
The transfer of pacing from my own heart
pacemaker
to the artificial
pacemaker
was seamless and I was unaware that it had happened. The impact this time was not physical but psychological and quite a difficult hurdle to overcome.

Back on Track!
Anyway yesterday I was up bright and early and still using Jo Whiley as my
pacemaker
set off and felt really good. Again ran on past the 30 min mark and actually covered 3.29 miles in just over 33 mins 51 secs less than I covered 3.27 on my 1st post graduate run.
