Did my first run for 11 days yesterday, which was my 3rd Consolidation Run. There were circumstances, not just laziness, that prevented me going out! After my first consolidation run when I finally run 5K in just over 34 mins, my 2nd which I undertook following a 12hr night-shift was Just awful. I have come to the conclusion that a night drinking coffee is probably dehydrating me so much my legs just feel like lead. I got nowhere near 5K, ran for just the 30 mins and could cheerfully have given up on several occasions.
Anyway yesterday I was up bright and early and still using Jo Whiley as my pacemaker set off and felt really good. Again ran on past the 30 min mark and actually covered 3.29 miles in just over 33 mins 51 secs less than I covered 3.27 on my 1st post graduate run. Surfeit to say I am one very happy bunny.
Think I mentioned in an earlier post that I had entered the 5K Race for Life in May and yesterday I registered for my local Park Run, which I want to do at least once prior to the Race for Life as in same park and an ear marking Saturday Week for my inaugural run.
