Has anyone had a pacemaker fitter and how long is it before you can go abroad for a holiday?

How long is it before you can go the gym again?

Hi 12345pink

I wondered if you might get more replies if you posted in one of the Health Unlocked communities that is related to Heart Health? Maybe the British Heart Foundation community? Here is a link to that one, but I know there are other communities too:

Hi

My husband had a pace maker fitted about 10 years ago and went abroad after his post-op check up. Your doctor should be able to advise you.

Be sure to check whether or not you can go through the electronic security gates or have to be patted down and go around them. With a modern pacemakers and security, you should be ok to walk through. Good idea to have the appropriate language translation of pacemaker too.
