Double vision/blurred vision with thyroid issues?
Hello, I woke up after a night with a sore and irritated eye with double vision. Have any of you had eye problems that accompany thyroid issues?

"I have always known that I am not alone in this treatment, but therapy has helped me accept that I am not the problem."
For years my name has been drug through the mud, and for years I obsessed over how to clear it. How to "set the record straight"- I thought I was losing my mind because I could not figure out why. I could not understand what I did. At one point, I convinced myself this was my karma, that maybe I deserved

Dry Eyes
I have been really suffering with dry eyes, I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem? I know it's thyroid related, should I expect an improvement on the right dose of thyroid hormones or is it more to do with the autoimmune? Thanks 😊

Worried
I’m really having a bad day today. I’ve felt a strange sensation on the top of my eyes not sure if it’s dry eye and when I put my glasses on I feel things are not so clear. Scared of going blind. I have been told disc cupping is 0.7 and 0.8 I googled and I think it’s really bad. I’m so sad right now.

New here
Hi, I was diagnosed 9 weeks ago and have had two appointments. Diagnosis: left eye glaucomatous optic neuropathy, cataracts 3+ on both eyes and astigmatism on right eye. I’ve been using Monopost for 8 weeks and pressure has come down from16 on both eyes to 13 on L and 11 on R eye. Consultant is pleased

Hair loss and dry eye
I am female and I’ve been on 75mg of Levothyroxine for 10 years now, I have recently noticed my hair is receding and am suffering from dry eye conditions. Is there any supplement that can help me or do I need to ask for an increase in my medication. I recently had a blood test that said it was normal

Does anyone else have this
I'm going for blood tests tomorrow. I have had a sore throat for months. Dry eyes, dry nose, tingling in my mouth and lumps that look like they will be ulcers. My tongue is sore and I'm now itching behind my ears and on the inside of my wrists where I am now getting red spots. Dr has requested tests

According to the Capita I have a new role - I have been classified as a walking aid, how I rank compared to a guide dog for the blind or an assistance dog for intelligence or hazard awareness is going to be a some debate ! Yesterday, my wife had her PIP telephone assessment. We had the usual trick questions

Worried about Laparoscopy
Hi - I’m due to have a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy on Monday and I’m starting freak out a bit. I’m really worried about blood clots forming post surgery - I have intermittent positive antiphospholipid syndrome and have suffered acute coronary syndrome and a central retinal vein occlusion. I have not

Update & many Thanks to you all.
I wanted to give a big thank you to all of you that gave me such informative information. Boy did it help. Went to Specsavers this morning was very impressed with them. Upshot is a burst blood vessel caused she thinks by the possibility of high blood pressure. I’ve also got the beginning of cataracts

Maintenance without Steroid
Has anyone got any suggestions? With inhaled steroids of any kind, my eye pressure is increasing. I have had an iridotomy in both eyes and the pressure decreased to 17. However, I started retaking Symbicort 100/6 one puff twice daily. Only doing this for 8 weeks and my eye pressure has increased to 25

Steroids and cataracts
I had an eye test last week and was told I have developed steroid related cataracts (as opposed to age related). Something to get checked out for those with blurry vision. The optician also suggested a slight tint for my lenses to help with the extra light sensitivity they cause. The best news is

Cataract ops,PMR and vertigo
I haven’t posted for more than a year but on opening the app was delighted and amazed to see PMRPro and Dorset Lady still giving up their time helping us all. After 4 years I’m alternating between 4.00 and 4.5 every other day. PMR still hanging round but yoga and other exercises to start my day tend

Drug side effects pilocarpine, dorzolamide/timolol, diamox generic acetazolomide
Narrow angle glaucoma cataract surgery in a few weeks. Taking pilocarpine, dorzolamide/timolol for over a month but recently seems to make me dizzy especially when lying flat. Also slowly withdrawing diamox 250mg. How can I lie still for surgery with this. Does anyone have advice or experience of this
