I'm afraid it's not a one size fits all Scampiharris1 more like a try it and see. I have asthma and Small Airways Disease, my preventer inhaler is Fostair 100 MDI (spray type with a spacer) which is fantastic for me personally. I like that's it's within the MART range of inhalers meaning I can also use it as a reliever if the need arises. It suits me and many others however there will be people who cannot use it & prefer another.

Since the 1990s I've had 5 different preventer inhalers inc. Fostair . Seretide gave me extremely thin skin whereas some don't & love it.

You'll find more members with copd over on the AsthmalungUK forum if you don't get many replies here.

You're welcome, you can always use the search bar to look up other mentions of Fostair or copd/asthma

peege is absolutely right: there is no one-size-fits-all regarding inhalers and, if Fostair works for you, then stick to it - “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”!

If you're diagnosed with COPD your doctor may consider prescribing an additional inhaler from the family of long acting muscarinic antagonists - Spiriva is widely used, but there are others. I don't think it's a matter of one treatment covering the two conditions and any new treatment should be reviewed after a few weeks to ensure it's delivering results.

Trimbow and Ventolin. Take care!

For the last 15 years I have been on a regime of Symbicort 200/6 two puffs twice daily and Spiriva Respimat 2 puffs am. - all using a spacer device. Ventolin as an emergency reliever and extra doses of Symbicort when I have a chest infection and if needed. I have moderate to severe COPD with an asthma overlay. Regime seems to suit me so far ( fingers crossed here!)

Hi, just re-read my reply. I only use the spacer with Symbicort. Apologies for the confusion!
