Hi everyone, after waiting for 5 weeks for the results of my CT scan I Emailed the Lung check people. I received a prompt reply they couldn’t understand why I hadn’t got them as they had sent the letter out 4 days after my scan on the 16th of May!
I have a small nodule which isn’t anything to worry about but I will be having another scan in three months time…so no emphysema or other stuff has shown up which is great news.
I am trying a new inhaler instead of the Trimbow it’s Fostair and so far so good ,breathing a lot better and walking faster , still coughing a few times but the horrible hacking cough I had with the Trimbow is subsiding .
At the moment all seems very well 😊

Hi, my GP tried to swap me from Fostairs to Trimbow (even though my specialist said it's not recommended for Bronchiectasis). Couldn't get on with it at all so I asked to be put back on Fostairs, luckily they agreed. Pleased it suits you too and good news about your scan results🙂👍xxx
hi, I think it can be a post code lottery when it comes to results. I was sent for a chest x-ray in January this year and they told me results would be in in 7-10 days after that I spoke with my GP practice and they told me 2 weeks so I waited nothing came so called the radiology department and they told me as it was ordered as standard x-ray it would be 6 weeks, after 9 weeks my practice got the results and put satisfactory no action required when I asked what that meant they said my lungs were clear still don’t get it as I have emphysema with holes top, bottom and rear of lungs. But as the doctor is not worried I decided that I would not worry about it either. Good luck. Kevin
Hi MrsP70, stick with it if you have found one that does not make you cough. Ct scans only usually take 10 days at maximum for results, the waiting time for a scan is often long. Good luck now things are clearer
Great results for you. I’m on fostair and I find it helps. I wonder what happened to your results though? My husband is still waiting for a parcel to be delivered by Royal Mail - around 3 months ! We think someone somewhere nabbed it as it was special beer. He did get a replacement which was sent by courier x
