report=objectonly My first thought is to try Anticonvulsants Other Than Gabapentin And Pregabalin such as Carbamazepine, , Lamotrigine, Levetiracetam Does someone have experience with one of those alternatives?

His epilepsy has not been controlled with other drugs although both Lamotrigine and Oxcarbazepine kerbed tonic clonic seizures. Introduced to Keppra and tonic clonic returned...so now suggested to stop Keppra and introduce Zonisamide. On low dose of Oxcarbazepine.

We tried oxcarbazepine but he had an immediate adverse reaction that required medical attention. His Dr. is now suggesting Kepra. Has anyone tried that med and what were the results? Sharon

After a consultation in Nov 2024 with follow up in Jan 2025 I was switched to Oxcarbazepine. Within 5 days, my memory returned. Hopefully this might provide hope to others who may not have confronted memory problems with Carbamazepine.

I was on Oxcarbazepine for 8 weeks only but ended up in the hospital last week with hyponatremia (low sodium) due to the medication. At the moment I am on 25mg. Pregabalin titrating to 75mg. slowly in 2 weeks or so. Phenytoin is the other medication I am currently taking. Thank you.

She’s been on Oxcarbazepine since age 4. This year we added a new medicine (Onfi) because the episodes picked up (guessing due to puberty) in March she started the Onfi along with the Oxcarbazepine.

I just increased my dose of Oxcarbazepine to 600mg, twice a day for auditory and visual hallucinations and Quetiapine for sleep, just 50mg. Anyone taking these meds sort a depression/anxiety med that worked with the two? Anyone found ways to keep employment with memory problems. thank you
