Dual Immunotherapy Prolongs Survival While Avoiding Chemotherapy in Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma
The randomized phase III CheckMate 743 trial breaks new ground in malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) by establishing the benefit of a chemotherapy-free regimen in patients with previously untreated disease. Data from a prespecified interim analysis, based on a minimum follow-up of 22 months, showed

EMDA with Mitomycin
Hi all After my turbt in July I’ve been recommended EMDA with Mitomycin. There was one small tumour TaG1. But it’s my 5th low grade recurrence. EMDA is like an enhanced intravesical Chemo in that while the solution is in the bladder electo impulses are sent between an electrode in the bladder and two

Finally had my ablation yesterday
Had my cryoablation yesterday and all went well. I went into af very quickly into the procedure which meant it only lasted for around 1 hr 15 mins. I have to admit that It wasn't the most pleasant of experiences but not bad enough to put me off going through again if I needed to. The worst part for me

Talk to a Radio Oncologist
I had a Telehealth video meeting with a Radio Oncologist yesterday at the suggestion from my Oncologist. What I learnt from the RO, was that chemo is used primarily to kill the microscopic cancer cells which are moving around my body. This hopefully will prevent other tumours from forming in other organs

Stage 4 Bladder Cancer?
Hi all! My dad had nodules in his lung as I wrote in the previous post but that is not the only thing. He had blood in his urine and tomorrow he will do a TURBT. As I have read, it is a test to diagnose the stage of bladder cancer or to eliminate T1 and T2 bladder cancer. My father has been bleeding

White Blood Cells and traces of bood in urine!
Hi there, I'm looking for some help! For the past 5 years I've shown symptoms for Endo, now I'm awaiting a laparoscopy, however for the past 10 months I've regularly done urine samples but they keep coming back with high counts of white blood cells and traces of blood, the doctor gave me antibiotics

Oncologist phone consultation.
I have just had the phone call. The result from the PET scan was mixed, the malignant tumour in the top left lobe remains stable, still in remission, no change. The nodule in my top right lobe is now in question and has grown 4 mm since a CT scan in Jan. Now at 31 mm, although it is not very clear with

Help! Switching milk feeds from baby bottle to sippy cup....
Looking for some help please. My son is 1 and I know by now I need to stop using normal baby bottles for his milk. I'm having real trouble though as every single other thing I've tried he's just thrown a massive tantrum at, spat the milk out, aggressively pushed the bottles away, thrown them around and

Urine infection
Hi All,I’m just reaching out to you all to see if anyone can suggest a good antibiotic for a water infection. I suffer severely with my stomach, and most antibiotics put me through a hell of a lot of pain. I’ve took one week of an antibiotic that seemed ok,but it turns out it hasn’t cleared it up.

Treatment after chemo - PARP inhibitor or immunotherapy trial?
After completing 7 rounds of docetaxel, my PSA went from 32 to 8. Bone scan and CT show no disease progression but no significant decrease either. The majority of my mets are in bone with several suspicious lymph nodes. Without going into great detail about my history, I was initially diagnosed in
