Just finished first meeting with radiation oncologist. What he proposed as next steps
Given my PSA of ".38" 22 months following robotic radical prostatectomy and with a "low risk" Decipher RP score, I had my first meeting today with a local radiation oncologist (Dr. Michcael Ray - ThedaCare Cancer Center Appleton Wisconsin). I have my first call with a urologist from an academic hospital

Bladder pain
I have been diagnosed with an
overactive
bladder
due to pelvic nerve damage caused by my surgeries and the disease itself. So I have to go to the toilet 40+ times a day. However, yesterday I made the mistake of going into town with my mother forgetting all public toilets were closed.

Cystitis symptoms after surgery
Has anyone suffered cystitis symptoms or actual cystitis after laparoscopy? I had mine yesterday and the cystitis symptoms are getting even worse! I’m worried I might have contracted it when I had a catheter put in and out during surgery? Any advice? Thanks

Synergy between radiation of metastases and immunotherapy confirmed
Two clinical trials have now confirmed the abscopal effect in prostate cancer. The abscopal effect occurs when cancer antigens activate the immune system, which then goes on a "search and destroy" mission. Cancer antigens are released into the blood by radiation or chemotherapy. In one longterm trial

Update on my husband who stopped dofetilide (Tikosyn) after ablation
Update on my husband (57) who finally stopped dofetilide (Tikosyn) after having had an ablation last October. Well, after only a week, AF came back! (possibly triggered by alcohol). The doc said to go back on the dofetilide and up the metoprolol for his high heart rate. After four days he did go back
